The Miele Classic C1 is a bagged cylinder vacuum cleaner produced by Miele, a German manufacturer with several awards from Which? magazine. I personally love German brands, and although they don’t win many design contests, they are reliable and perform very well, which is the reason why we bought it. Yes! The company now produces the excellent Blizzard range of cylinder bagless vacuums. There are several options, including a Cat & Dog version, and all use the company’s new Vortex design. The Miele Boost series also has a bagless design. It’s also built with the same automatic bag-sealing mechanism as the C3. The hose, while not incredibly lengthy, is strong and flexible and offers an accessory holder for the crevice tool, upholstery tool and dusting brush. It retracts automatically into the body at the press of a foot switch. The claim of a 9m operating radius is a little ambitious considering the cable is only 5.5m long.
