About this deal

The game continues until a player has one card left. The moment a player has just one card they must yell “ UNO!”. If they are caught not saying “Uno” by another player before the next player has taken their turn, that player must draw two new cards as a penalty. Assuming that the player is unable to play/discard their last card and needs to draw, but after drawing, is then able to play/discard that penultimate card, the player has to repeat the action of calling out “Uno”. The bottom line is – Announcing “Uno” needs to be repeated every time you are left with one card. You have to match either by the number, color, or the symbol/Action. For instance, if the Discard Pile has a red card that is an 8 you have to place either a red card or a card with an 8 on it. You can also play a Wild card (which can alter current color in play).

Have students read a passage and answer some multiple-choice questions for it. You will use those questions then to play the game. This is the best card a player can have, since the player who plays it not only decides if he wants to change the color in play or continue with the same color, but also forces the next player to draw four Heap cards and lose his turn. Now, you can easily have an idea if you like to create a template or if you want to create a DIY UNO card for you.

Alongside the four suit colors offered in regular Uno, this giant Uno deck also includes customizable wild cards, as well as reverse and skip cards.

Variation: Assign ‘Reverse’ cards a negative number to add a little spice to the game and keep everyone in it until the very end! The player who plays a wild card, decides if he wants to change the color in play or continue with the same color. Wild cards can be played on any card, and can be played even if the player has other playable cards in his hand. In the event that the first card that forms the discard pile at the beginning of the game is a wild card, the player to the right of the dealer chooses which color the game should start with, and then plays. Wild Draw Four Step 1: Put students in groups and deal out 7 cards to each group. The goal of the game is for each group to get rid of all of their cards so they have a total of 0 points at the end.

Step 5: Ending the round. If someone goes out, the other teams get the number of points for each card they have left. This scenario may happen from time to time. If your last card is a Wild Swap Hands or Wild Shuffle Hands card, you can treat it like a normal Wild card and play it to end the game right there and then – No further action is required. This is because you would obviously not win the game if you were required to swap your hand with another player (in the case of a Wild Swap Hands card) or to receive new cards from other players (in the case of a Wild Shuffle Hands card). You can use the Giant UNO Cards to do many of the same activities that we suggested in this post about using our Free Place Value Chart . Just replace the numbers with the cards! Use Giant UNO Cards with Any Set of Questions #7 | ELA example Uno is the highly popular card game played by millions around the globe. This game is played by matching and then discarding the cards in one’s hand till none are left. Since its inception, there are now many versions of Uno that one can play. Here are the rules of the original or classic Uno. Call out the color you want. Then act or play a charade, and the first player who correctly guesses it can discard all the cards of that color that they have in hand at that moment. Draw two horizontal lines on your white board. Pull 4 cards and use magnets to attach the card to board (one above and one below the line on each side) thus creating 2 fractions.
