Papa III seems to have put on some weight since stopping touring, coincidentally a former Ghoul also put on weight by his own admission after stopping touring. Greg Eliason worked as assistant engineer; he has previously worked with Lorde and Jennifer Lopez and others. It is safe to say that the 21 months between Popestarand Prequelle were somewhat stressful for Ghost. There are some huge positives like another Grammi win, a tour with Iron Maiden and Square Hammer being played virtually everywhere from radio stations to football games but the negatives are equally big as the band suffers a huge schism in personnel.

This release was issued with covers with five different placings of a rider and a horse. It seems the various versions of the cover has been randomly distributed among the different versions of the release. A number one hit in the UK for The Pet Shop Boys in June 1987, It’s a Sin is allegedly the best selling single in Europe for 1987. The song was originally written and demoed in 1984, the subject matter being Pet Shop Boys singer Neil Tennant’s Catholic upbringing and how everything he enjoyed in life was sinful (Tennant is openly gay).
