About this deal

In the dry down, though, things start to settle down a bit. The intense sweetness becomes a bit softer and the scent itself starts to become a little smoother and creamier. Of course, the tobacco is still noticeable, and so is the cinnamon, but everything seems a little more subdued. This attractive, tall perfume bottle displays clean, straight lines with the intense glow of the fragrance proudly nestling inside.

Not long after the opening, a few fresh floral notes start to appear. Fresh hints of rose and carnation are both present, giving off a refreshing, almost old-school scent. Both are aromatic and add a touch of class to the mix. This goes great with the already fresh and aromatic scent from the opening and adds that ‘dreamy’ effect to the cologne. The sculptural, handmade glass bottle, featuring a beautiful pattern, is inspired by Versace’s fashion collection. Topped with a weighty, gorgeous design golden cap, it represents the brand’s unique style and their dedication to excellence. Tobacco (Lat. Nicotiana) is a genus of plants of the solanaceous family (Lat. Solanaceae). This family is represented by such apparent tobacco relatives as tomato, eggplant, bell pepper (capsicum), potato, boxthorn (better known as goji berries) as well as some very poisonous plants such as belladonna, datura and henbane. Underpinned by the headiness of French beeswax, Jasmin au Soleil opens with irresistibly fresh notes of lemon and Indian jasmine flower. The indulgent heart of tobacco and hay compliment the sweet honey potion, cheering up the pallet and creating light, silky aroma. Powdery notes of cedarwood highlight this fragrant bouquet, give it a sensation of luxury. Owning a tobacco fragrance isn’t a necessity, but it is definitely something worth looking into. With their high-class, interesting, and luxurious scents, you really won’t regret owning one.

3. Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Havane

Parfums De Marly Herod has always been known as an amazing tobacco-based cologne with an approachable and easy-to-wear scent that’s perfect for those that are new to tobacco colognes. Made by Olivier Pescheux, this fragrance was released in 2012. Volutes opens with light, powdery, florals blended with subtle spices. As your body heat prompts the fragrance to develop, wisps of soft honey-tobacco and golden benzoin round out the blend.

This cologne opens with a fresh scent of citruses and ginger, a fresh spicy note. These notes all ensure a rather fresh opening that makes for a perfect segway into the fresh scent of tobacco. Tabarome Millesime makes use of a fresh note of tobacco. Of course, there’s still that typical tobacco sweetness, but it’s done in a much lighter way. Speaking of tobacco, the actual note and scent of tobacco appears shortly after the opening. The tobacco is rich, warm, and powerful, perfectly tying in with the opening and immediately puts itself in the spotlight. All of the warm notes are in turn balanced out by a few floral notes and juicy fruity notes. The fruity notes add a nice layer of fresh sweetness to the mix, taking the overall scent to the next level. Tabaxol , for instance, is an extremely intense smelling compound, but when heavily diluted it achieves a roasted, nutty, slightly meaty scent with phenolic and metallic undertones, whereas its 'big brother' mossenate is less aggressive and possesses some interesting orris and ylang-ylang notes.

What Is The Note Of Tobacco And How Does It Smell

The biggest contributors to the shaping of its charateristic tobacco fragrance are carotenoids: ionones and their many derivatives, damascenone, edulane and its derivatives, theaspiranes (important components of the scent of tea and osmanthus), safranal, megastigmatrienone – which is also present in osmanthus, but plays one of major roles here; Symrise and certain other companies produce it under the brand Tabanon. To date, we see the number of perfume proposals growing very fast as more than 1000 new perfumes make their appearance on the market every year, thus making our choice very hard (it seems like we have another affinity with cigars here). However if we know a little about how perfumes are classified, we can then make it easier on us. image : Roberto Dario As the cologne starts to dry down, the scent goes in a fruitier direction. The notes of plum and dried fruits start to come into the spotlight, blending in beautifully with the tobacco and spices. The plum is dark, rich, juicy, and fruity and the dried fruits have this luxurious and dusty element to them. This leaves you with an overall complex and elegant cologne. The sense of smell is very subjective and – just like for cigars recommendations – you may find your scent trail enhancer through perfumes that are different from what I might suggest. Therefore, I will not give advice on branded perfumes. In the dry down, the vanilla starts playing a large role and adds a creamy sweetness to the mix that balances out the spices and tobacco. Still, the tobacco is the main star with its rich and sweet scent, but it is balanced out slightly. We can also find a few warm woody notes in the dry down, leaving you with an overall warm, rich, and sweet tobacco cologne.
