From The New World is Alan Parson’s sixth studio album since disbanding The Alan Parsons Project, and it is probably the closest sounding album to The Alan Parsons Project in his solo career. This is not a bad thing, but the album certainly has its foundation in the original sound of The Alan Parsons Project. As with previous Alan Parsons albums, he continues the practice of employing a number of musicians and vocalists. However, the end result is a singular sound/view of Alan Parsons.
