The supported headphones range from super-sensible 16 Ω IEMs to 600 Ω full-size headphones, so there should be no problems in terms of compatibility. Sound Well like I said all I know is from the Fulla 2 and its already too strong for my IEMs and my Panasonic HD-10. At the rear of the device, there are 2 physical switches. The first one is a power switch that disconnects the amplifier from the mains power. This gives the L30 a bit of a hard time, where it trips over its own feet a bit, while th With power on the A30 Pro listed as 6W into 16Ω and 840mW into 300Ω, it can easily power most of my full-sized headphones, including the Audio Technica ADX5000, Hifiman Ananda, and the Audeze LCD-X.

This is a review and detailed measurements of the Topping A30Pro balanced input and output headphone amplifier and pre-amp. It was kindly sent to me by the company. I am sorry but I don't have release date or pricing. I usually only get finished products from Topping so expect release date to be soon (post Chinese new year). Audiophonics is a company created in 2005, specialized in the distribution and sale of Audio, HiFi, Do It Yourself and electronic products on the internet. To propose qualitative products at the best price, here is the philosophy that guides us every day. We put a strong emphasis on being the first to offer innovative products that match the expectations of the market and customers. It really doesn't change the audio at all haha... I've gotten a replacement A30 from Topping as my first one was faulty, and both of them didn't change the audio quality at all. I've also seen someone else mention on a Massdrop discussion that it didn't change anything for them as well. I guess if thats the case I should just leave it at low... haha

Say goodbye to ground loop noise

When i had Violectric v280 it sounded nothing spectacular single ended, but going balanced improved soundstage width, depth dramatically as well as resolution. Listening to this pair, there is an obvious improvement in layer separation within the soundstage. Even with naturally more intimate headphones such as the HD600, or the LCD-X. There is a touch more layering and a more natural sense of space between instruments. Oh wow! 0.73 watts using such a high impedance? This is wonderful as it means you don't need to use balanced connections to get enough power to drive high impedance and inefficient headphones. Low and medium gains have identical performance and incredibly low noise floor with no clipping. So if you hear distortion there, it is in your music.

Topping A30Pro Review (Balanced Headphone Amp) Topping A30Pro Review (Balanced Headphone Amp)

On the front fascia, the XA-10 has a neater overall arrangement, only having the red volume ring, the LCD screen, and the headphone outputs while having the rest of the controls on the side of the device. With the controls on the side of the device, it proves to be less intuitive than having classic toggle switches. These 2 amplifiers utilize SMSL’s own PLFC topology, so I’m sure that the 2 amplifiers will have quite a bit in common. It’s also interesting to see that they have the same power numbers, so that means they both have a rated output of 6W into 16Ω, and 3W into 32Ω.Would be interesting why to choose this over a L30. Integrated power supply? Look and feel? Balanced connections? Instead, it’s an evolution of the technology, allowing their implementation of PLFC in the HO200 to compete in its market segment because of its overall detailed and expansive presentation while creating an overall honest delivery of the music. SMSL HO200 Technical Specifications Could you explain or direct me towards a good resource for me to read as I'm not sure which voltage setting "Low/High" I should be at as it's made no difference to the audio quality... The dB "18,9,0" changes the overall volume, but when should I be turning the gain up instead of the volume knob?

Topping D30 Pro Review - Headfonia Reviews Topping D30 Pro Review - Headfonia Reviews

With vast orchestral recordings, the A30 Pro can create coherent and vivid images within the soundstage. Each image is formed with an accurate sense of directionality, placing each element firmly in place within the soundstage. This is a review and detailed measurements of the new Topping D30Pro. It was kindly sent to me by the company. Alas, I forgot to ask them how much it costs when released. I will update the review when I find out. With a net weight of 0.87 kg or almost 2 pounds, I find it lightweight and small enough. All in all, it looks modern and cool and it has the same dimensions with its soul mate D30 PRO. This is a review of the A30 Pro & D30 Pro together, separated only by the specs and technical bits. I thank Apos audio for sending the duo, they really are a fabulous pair. Now also a sneak peek of A30 pro.. not much on output levels but we can already see a super clean output + general I/O

It has a proprietary end on it so its not like there will be a universal adapter for it (I think its part of how it has its dual mode setup). Moving to the UE Live, my first custom, I lowered the gain to medium. Playing at a much lower volume as well, the detail was still present. I appreciated the transparency of sound emitting from the songs and kept that volume lower by choice. The trio came across as completely compelling to me, and the “mid-fi” Topping duo could certainly hold their own with the Live attached. I do wish for more bass from the Live, but due to its excellent clarity I appreciated the tuning and the pairing with the Topping duo. When shutting down, the input signal is directly output to RCA or TRS without amplification, which will be more suitable for active speakers/monitor speakers when the DAC has pre-amplifier functions. Even better is when used with D30Pro, the excellent noise performance of D30Pro is not wasted. The layout of the front fascia on the A30 Pro is more crowded since it needs to accommodate the same 3 output ports, a volume knob, and 2 toggle switches. Both are equally easy to use though, but the volume dial on the A30 Pro is a bit more difficult to move.

Topping A30 PRO Review – Always Outnumbered - Soundnews

With the slightly drier quality of the D30 Pro, the A30 Pro gives the midrange that touch of richness to make vocals a bit more euphonic. Treble is also controlled, and the slight roll-off on the D30 Pro is compensated by the airiness of the A30 Pro.And this is the main reason why I bought it because I can use it with my lower power headphones and have perfect volume control and clarity. On the side of things like the Magni you can honestly not get over 3% volume with most IEMs. Which not only means you have no actual volume control but at that setting on the pot it's often that you will have a channel imbalance.
