About this deal

Great! D’you see what I’ve done? The Emporium is so huge, and before it was all so dark and gloomy and… a bit scary to be honest. So I thought, what would make people happy? What would make them comfortable? What sort of place would they want to discover and enjoy? And then I thought, well everyone loves a carnival, don’t they? So here we are. Every single Wonder in a never-ending city of tents and stalls and rides. Look, over there’s the Leap of Faith, the first Wonder I ever saw, remember?”

I wanted to love this as much as I did the first, but it was more like an 8 instead of a 10. Definitely much creepier – feels like a horror book rather than a fantasy. I don’t think teen readers will be disappointed at all. This is the second book in The Nowhere Emporium trilogy, with The Otherwhere Emporium completing the trilogy. This book continues on well from the Nowhere Emporium. Travelling at the same spread, as you read through this magical story of how the orphan boy changes the Emporium to his own. This magical realm has your imagination running wild as to how to how anything could be possible. Daniel and his friends find a whole world of magic. Which turns into an interesting journey of how he and his friends develop into their own independent characters.https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/what-enquiries-are-geographers-currently-doing-74w32d Alice Éclair, Spy Extraordinaire will whisk you away on a fabulous adventure, full of daring action and delicious cakes! I loved the book it was amazing. I probably like Ellie the best because she’s always willing to help. I thought it was awesome how at the end Ellie gets a new job at the bureau of magical investigations. I would definitely recommend this book Please follow the link to the Oak Academy lesson about 'How to geographers develop an enquiry question?'. Where is the Emporium's rightful owner, Daniel? And can Mirren find him before the shop, and everyone inside, is lost forever?

This is another great book but not one for bedtime reading as it has some bits that were a bit scary! Please follow the link to the Oak Academy lesson about 'What enquiries are geographers currently doing?'. The Nowhere Emporium has been stolen and Daniel and Ellie must find it before it is lost forever. Can they find the Emporium before it is destroyed and what will they discover along the way? This book is amazing! I would recommend it to people from age 7 - 12 who have read the first book in the series, The Nowhere Emporium for this is the second book. My favourite characters are Daniel and Ellie, the two main characters. Daniel's life changes forever when he stumbles upon The Nowhere Emporium in Glasgow. A dazzling and quirky tale, full of imagination and wonder - perfect for fans of JK Rowling, Philip Pullman and Neil Gaiman.
