About this deal

I actually really like the case; I found that you have to use 2 hands to open and close it, and the way to easily use the buttons is to have a finger under one clasp and your thumb over the other. While Spring tips make both sound so much better. I get more clarity, making every detail sound clearer. It tames Free2’s bass and makes the highs shimmer on both. Currently looking at the Acoustune AEX07 and AZLA SednaEarfit MAX. Anyone with experience with these for my use case? Any other recommendations?

SpinFit W1 - Linsoul Audio

Similar to Ostry OS100 but with a tad more bass and less crisp in the treble. Quite a balance-sounding eartip. Narrows soundstage. Truthear Zero is a collaboration between Truthear and Crinacle. It is a dual dynamic driver config where one dynamic driver is acting as a dedicated woofer handling mainly the sub bass while the main driver handles the rest of the frequency range.

SpinFit CP100

Nonetheless, vocal is extremely clean. Bass is suppressed but not rolled-off. Treble extension is good. Soundstage and stereo imaging are the stars of the show. Compared to JIJUFIN, JIJU-JET sounds leaner and crispier. Dynamics and impact are snappier and sharper. Pairs well with dark-sounding earphones. Before getting these IEMs (after a lot of reasearch) I’ve been using HD6xx. I think HD6xx are still overall better sounding because of a flatter response pretty much. But these IEMs are more fun to use while I’m getting the same soundstage and all the other crap we’re constantly trying to improve. October 2023 additions: Divinus MOCHI TIP (for IEM/TWS), SpinFit OMNI, EarrBond EBT New Hybrid Design Eartips with Metal Core (CU) Copper, EarrBond EBT New Hybrid Design Eartips with Metal Core (SS) Stainless Steel, Eletech Baroque Luxury Hi-Fi Eartips. JIJU-JET2 is the revised version of original JIJU-JET. Vocal projection is brought forward creating a better 3D-effect on human voices. Soundstage has better depth and instruments have more breathing space around them. Similar to its predecessor, bass is suppressed but not rolled-off. Treble extension is excellent. However, I do notice a slight metallic timbre which makes female voices sound a tad cold and steely. Pairs well with dark-sounding earphones. mm longer than CP-100 and CP-145, the additional length and bullet-shaped caps of the CP-155 allow deeper insertion to bring more bass and fuller vocal.

SpinFit OMNI is the direct successor to the CP-360, with a longer nozzle stem and the distinction of being the first SpinFit product to offer “in-between” sizes, which are common among eartip brands such as JVC Spiral Dot and Azla SednaEarFit. For balance sound. Tames harsh earphones. Cleaner but lesser bass and midrange compared to regular Spiral Dot. Very comfortable for long listening sessions. Disclaimer:All scores are subjected to change without notice. I may update or add new scores every few months when I acquire new eartips. An incredibly unique eartip that resembles a whiskey barrel with the entire stem fully concealed within the reversed cap, which forms a dome. It is extremely comfortable, isolates and seals very well. Because sound is reflected into the dome, it has an echo (reverb) effect. This presents a wide soundstage with particularly good height and depth. Unfortunately, this echo effect causes vocals, female voices especially, to sound nasally and wheezy. As if the singer is singing with his or her nose pinched. Without a doubt, the iReep 01 is the most unusual eartip in my collection. These final impressions were done off the Eversolo DAC-Z8 connected to the SMSL SP400. These impressions are what the Spinfit W1 and Omni tips sounded like to my ears with all the IEMs I used. Things like IEM/TWS selection and ear shape will produce different results and impressions vs what my ears hear on my specific gear. These are probably the most sibilant eartips I have tested so far thus avoid using them on earphones that sound bright and tizzy. These eartips reduce mid-bass and sub-bass to the point whereby there is very little bass rumble. Vocals are pushed forward. Of all the traits, what impresses me most is the huge soundstage they project. The CP240 is a double flange eartip. Double flange eartips are useful for listeners who have larger ear canals and have a hard time getting a good seal. They can also provide improved isolation in general. On the CP240, the SpinFit pivot comes in between the first and second flange, to provide flexibility at the top for the second flange. In the end, the driver configuration is the most interesting aspect of the Truthear Zero, and there is nothing wrong with that. They just do not stand out enough in terms of technicalities, and the shouty vocals followed by dark treble doesn’t make things better. The IEMs have a rather unique dual dynamic driver configuration : one dynamic driver (10mm diaphragm) is acting as a dedicated « woofer » to handle the sub-bass while the main driver is acting as a “tweeter” (7.8mm diaphragm) is handling the rest of the frequency range. There is a cross over circuit to make this work.
