Robin takes an arrow from his quiver and fires an arrow toward a tree. It splits an arrow in two which was already embedded in the tree. but when Arrow's 1080 version can look a bit on the rough side, that less than optimal appearance is probably on exacerbated by the 4K UHD But for some odd reason, it works really well and overall the story and cast deliver. Great music and a great last 30 min set price! I wouldn’t mind but I keep accidentally running into EE versions when first time watching with my son and I can tell he’s not enjoying these ‘enthusiast’ editions. Let’s ensure that the next generation of watchers gets to enjoy the original tighter versions at least at first instance.

For every movie fan there are probably several films they can count as milestones, movies that became big parts of our viewing, even of our lives. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was one of those for me. It came out at the perfect time, when I was 10. The screenplay had simple heroism, the villain was an obvious baddie you could boo and hiss at if the mood took you, there was plenty of action and even as a cut PG, it stretched the edges of its certification to a point that was an intense and sometimes scary experience for a relatively young kid. I loved it. Along with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves became one of my first favourite movies. It was one of the reasons we first got a TV for the house, and a VCR to go with it, and it became a tape that was in heavy rotation. Robin Hood comes to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from Arrow UK. Not only did this film deliver a tie in number one hit, with Bryan Adams’s ‘ Everything I do, I do it for you’, but the late (and always great) Michael Kaman delivered a rousing and emotional score that is still listened to by this reviewer to this day.
