About this deal

Sometimes called Fluted glass, this is a textured stripe finish moulded into the glass surface. Multiple flutes are side-by-side with a common 1/2-inch or 1/4-inch spacing. The pattern bends light as it passes through the glass and this obscures your vision. Why is Reeded glass texture so popular? Wetting solution is the secret ingredient to a smooth, seamless installation. Make a solution by adding 8-10 drops of a mild, non-moisturizing dish detergent (Dawn or Joy; do not use hand soap) to a 32-oz. spray bottle filled with clean water (adjust ratio for smaller or larger bottles). More soap may be needed when applying film to acrylic surfaces. Mix well. Water bubbles are a factor in window filming that can not be avoided. Depending on the tools and pressure applied, you may remove up to 95% of the application fluid. The remaining 5% due to surface tension will form small bubbles and if left alone, will completely dry. This process normally takes no longer than 30 days but can take up to 60 days depending on the quality of installation. Once you are happy with the positioning of your film, liberally spray the surface of the film. This will act as a lubricant for your squeegee or felt edged tool.

Translucent clear (colourless) embossed vinyl film. Pattern runs down the length of the roll. Vertically installed. Has the appearance of ocean waves when installed horizontally. Ideal for semi-obscuring direct visibility while allowing good light transmission. Suitable for internal and external applications. Translucent clear embossed vinyl film. Light is refracted in different directions creating the effect of scattered lights. The small squares are 6mm x 6mm. Ideal for obscuring direct visibility and allows good light transmission.Using a pair of sharp scissors, cut the material roughly to size (We recommend 20mm extra on the Width and Height to allow the material to be cut to the shape of the glass) It is also advisable to make sure the Top of your film is straight and in line/square with any pattern.

All films can be easily removed without any damage to the glass. Begin by peeling the film away from one corner of the glass and pulling down until the entire panel is removed. If any adhesive remains, it can be easily removed with window cleaner, soapy water or a single-edge razor blade. A clear, textured, stucco-like finish. Excellent for obscuring direct visibility and as a decorative finish to glass. Use your Green Card Squeegee wrapped in a non-abrasive cloth to remove any remaining bubbles, always using the shortest path to the edge. Place the Green Card Squeegee on the film and against the edge of the glass, then place the blade of your knife against this. This will guide your knife and protect your window frames and gaskets. Note: Making a diagonal cut between the corner of the glass and excess film prevents creasing the corner of the material while trimming. If you are applying a solar or safety film, apply as much pressure as possible to remove the water. You may need a specialist squeegee for this process. With the right preparation and installation, Decorative Films are a fast and easy way to transform a room. But don’t skip steps or skimp on tools! For a beautiful and resilient end result, take your time, measure carefully, wet thoroughly and squeegee the entire surface. Before you get started…
