When compared to its amazing sound quality, beautiful design, innovative tuning features, and full-range frequency response, all while in a compact 4-inch space, citing a couple of add-ons as anything more than add-ons becomes kind of silly. R1280DB’s high-frequency penetration is perfect, and the resolution is vital. Although the sound position will not be prominent at the front, it can make us feel its existence. That may be the interpretation of the sound of the R1280DB speaker set by the Edifier.

There is decent bass and clear treble on both, and the EQ panel allows you to adjust both. R1280T, however, seems to be more clear at high frequencies. Both feature a 4-inch bass and 13mm silk dome tweeter. However, their frequency response seemed different.
The rounded corners and chrome accents on the front grille add a bit of flair to the design, and the build quality and fit and finish is on par with speakers that cost thrice as much.
The Edifier R1850DB delivers subtle but noticeable improvements over the R1700BT, mainly due to the extra power and the slightly larger size. There are just a couple of things to keep in mind. The first is that these are quite a hefty upgrade for a PC. If you’re only likely to listen at low volumes, then a smaller pair of speakers that emphasises high-end detail a little more may suit you better. Ultimately, when it comes down to the Edifier, the question you have to ask yourself is, “Is a slight A-minus worth paying a bit more than a certified “C”? If you answered, “Obviously,” there’s a very, very strong chance that you’ll consider these speakers to be worth your time.

Everything else is also clear and well-balanced. In spite of the fact that the Edifier R1280DB is largely still an entry-level monitor, it still offers some incredible sound quality.
