About this deal

Anyone know of a base fkr screw on burners that allows a screw on canister to be used remotely rather than have the burner screwed directly to the top of a canister? Specifically, with a ‘dual fuel’ stove below or one of the adaptors below, you can use multiple types of gas cylinder, which will maximise your chances of finding gas canisters all over the world, wherever you are. It’s a good way to save money too as the alternatives are often cheaper.

Hi Giaovanni, we cycled across Cambodia a couple of years ago but I think we mostly just bought food, because it was so cheap, rather than using our camping stove. How long do camping gas canisters last? Camping Gas Canisters burn on average 2g of Gas every minute, meaning that a regular camping gas canister such as the ones you get from Coleman around 220g will last you around 2 hours. For most people outside wild camping, this is more than enough to cover cooking your dinner and breakfast the next morning, alongside hot drinks.A used gas cylinder is not like other types of waste that you may see on a camping trip and think to just casually dispose of into the bushes. For what it’s worth, the aerosol-type canisters were very prevalent on my trip to southern Chile this year — they seem to be associated with the cheaper-looking stoves imported from China and elsewhere. I also noticed folks putting mini-blowtorches on top of them to toast their bread! Reply I'm now putting this one down to experience, but hopefully someone may come up with a supplier of a suitable adapter. Generally, you can carry gas cylinders in a vehicle without any hardships. But for safety purposes, ensure that the cylinder is not exposed to any temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.

Does anybody know what type of gas canister are easy to be found in south east asia!!! Especially in Cambodia?!! Reply FYI, with more digging, I learned that small propane/butane canisters CAN be shipped, ground only, by the US Post. One post office here declined anyway, but I showed the policy to another, and they took it. Shipped to our first campground, and the ranger had the canisters waiting for us. Having given two talks on camping stoves at recent festivals, one of the key things I realised was that not everyone knows about the different types of gas canisters available for camping stoves. The benefit of 70/30 butane/propane mix is that it increases a Coleman stove or lantern’s performance in lower temperatures. This is perfect for those that love camping all year round as you can rest assured your gas will continue to work, even on the coldest of winter evenings.

About Millets

The main difference is the proportion of propane to butane. More propane = better cold weather performance. The exact mix of propane, butane and isobutane is usually secret. But above 5 degreees Celsius (41 Fahrenheit), you probably don’t need any butane Most camping stoves are just compatible with screw-on canisters and some are just compatible with Easy-Clic canisters. However, there are a couple of special stoves that will allow you to use either type of canister: screw-on and Easy-Clic. Some people seem to think that certain brands give a more consistent flow and let you use the full canister better. But that’s not widely experienced, there’s no obvious consistency in which are the best/worst brands, and I don’t know of any reason that would be true (ultimately, they are just metal pots filled with gas). However, if you’re travelling through different countries or out in the middle of nowhere, you can’t always find screw-on gas canisters.

Please can you tell me of there is an alternative to the CV270 Campingaz canister for use with the Campingaz Bleuet CV270L lantern. The adaptor won’t work because of the canister shroud attached to the top half of the lantern. Reply Camping is a hobby that requires a lot of gear, and yet sometimes not all manufacturers focus on producing quality products that will stand the test of time. Campingaz is a quality brand that has products loved by campers across the world. This is the reason their products are priced the way they are, because they produce high quality, robust camping products that deserve the price tag. hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reply – just in case anyone else finds this thread – I bought the following and it screws in both ends (one to the stove attachment and one to the new UK type canister) and it works a treat! https://amzn.to/2YcAhIy The adaptors allow screw-on stoves to use other types of canister (clip-on, aerosol and puncture). They don’t work the other way around i.e. they don’t let you use screw-on canisters with other types of stove.I have to admit that I’ve not looked for one specifically but the only adaptors I know fit onto screw-on/lindal stoves. Unfortunately, this is a limit that can easily be breached when it’s hot outside, so stowing away the cylinder in the boot of the car might be a good idea. Unlike putting it behind the windscreen, it is not exposed to direct sunlight here. Is there a adaptor which allows me to make the the party grill connect with a larger Canister as the campingaz R907? These are some of the most ethical and sustainable courses of action you can take to get rid of your used gas canister. You can rest assured that you’re not harming the environment in any way and that aside from the cylinder, even the waste fuel can be recovered and recycled.

Disposing of empty gas cylinders is a delicate procedure that should be followed to the letter. Failure to do so may easily harm the environment and even put your safety and that of others at risk. So, the next time you want to get rid of your used canister after an outdoor adventure, be sure to follow the above guide on how to dispose of camping gas cylinders.

70/30 Butane/Propane Mix With Coleman Gas

I can’t quite see if there is a thread on this. It looks like it is a clip on though like the Easy-Clic?
