About this deal

While the Exos-9 plays in stereo, its soundstage is quite narrow because the woofers are so close together. There are some speaker manufacturers that use digital signal processing (DSP) to make the sound wider, but there’s nothing like that going on with the Aiwa. The Battery Save Mode increases your play time at high volumes by targeting and reducing audio frequencies that use the most power. Why Placing the Aiwa Exos-9 Is Important? We’ve split this list into two sections, the first of which are speakers that are large and loud. These speakers are best for larger gatherings and are focused more on volume than portability. The second portion of this list is dedicated to smaller speakers that are the loudest in their size range and more suitable for everyday use. The Soundboks Go is a new Bluetooth speaker on the market, and it doesn’t fail to live up to the Soundboks models that came before it. While the much larger Soundboks 3 model offers 126 dB of volume, the now more widely available Soundboks Go brings 121 dB to the table. Portability An improvement Aiwa could make to the front screen is to add a volume level indicator and a battery status indicator.

Since we’re talking about portable speakers, battery life will be important! In some speakers, you’ll be able to operate them either from the battery or through an AC input. There is no hard rule to battery life as it’s all quite dependent on how you are planning to utilize your speaker. If you’re looking for a portable entertainment speaker, the Aiwa Exos-9 Portable Bluetooth speaker is a must-try. This speaker is equipped with 200 watts of powerful and continuous sound. It even has five drivers, plus a 6.5” dual-voice coil subwoofer. It’s so portable that you can install it hassle-free in your car, inside your house, or while having an outdoor party. What Soundboks has focused on with this new speaker is bringing a balance between loudness and portability. Unlike the Soundboks 3, the Go measures only slightly larger in size than competitors like the Hyperboom or Boombox 2 and weighs in at a much more manageable 20 pounds. Now, while this is still no lightweight speaker, it does become possible to carry a Soundboks product in one hand. If your device supports NFC pairing, touch it to the NFC icon in the circle on the top of the device, just to the right of the touch screen. Once again, you’re connected. Remember though. You won’t be able to use this approach with any Apple device.

I wouldn’t call it rugged though, asI do with the Soundboks 2. Two large rubber feet at the base of the Exos-9 keep it stable once you’ve found your playing spot. Another positive feature is the possibility to link two Aiwa Exos-9s together to enjoy stereo sound. But we couldn’t test this because we only had one unit. Sound The decibel itself is only a ratio which means that it compares the value of one number to the value of another

While a single Bluetooth speaker is enough for most people if you host events or require multiple speakers to be set up in stereo or placed in different locations, stereo pairing/chaining is essential. Exos-9 can be connected to different audio sources (phones, tablets, PCs) via Bluetooth or via AUX input. The speaker features support for A2DP ( Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AAC, aptX, and SBC audio codecs. It also supports fast pairing thanks to the NFC feature (it can be used for pairing with NFC-enabled Android devices). It is also possible to pair two Exos-9 speakers together thanks to the LINK feature. Most of our complaints are related to build quality (too much plastic) and to control panel design. Wondering how much of a dB increase you will get if you double the power? As mentioned earlier in this article, the power of a speaker will be mentioned as a wattage rating, which tells us the strength of its amplification. Aiwa claims they avoid spending money on TV ads and celebrity endorsements and instead spend it on high-quality components, like five drivers:

Big sound for those who need the extra volume

The new Aiwa company adopted the old-school boombox design. Maybe they wanted to pay their respects to famous Aiwa boomboxes or to match this well-known name with a well-known design and make the product recognizable. They also managed to modernize this retro design and make it more visually appealing to new generations. So, if you’re not into nostalgia and prefer the lean modern look, you may not want to read any more of this review. Aside from Bluetooth, SOUNDBOKS has added XLR inputs as well as 3.5mm AUX inputs to the new model. This allows you to daisy-chain with the previous versions if you already have an older model. The New SOUNDBOKS also features a TeamUp function which allows you to wirelessly connect multiple 3rd Gen speakers together. Sound

The sensitivity rating tells us how loud it will play with a certain amount of wattage. Remember that every additional 3 dB of volume requires double the power. And too, if you’re looking for a more modern speaker with features like AirPlay, Google Cast, voice assistants, and Spotify built-in, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Let’s Talk About the Equalizer When it comes to overall sound quality, the Aiwa Exos-9 stands out from some of the other loudest Bluetooth speaker options. The bass has a nice weight and definition, while the mids and highs deliver excellent clarity. This means the Exos-9 will sound great with most genres of music and is even great for talk radio or podcasts. Build Quality Since then, I have become much more careful around radios, boomboxes, and other audio devices (at least, I like to think so) but I have never lost the passion for audio equipment. Throughout 20 years of my professional career, I’ve been working for various audio equipment manufacturers and even started building speakers on my own in my little workshop. And it’s just as much at home indoors in large rooms or halls. Anywhere you’ve got a large party or gatherings. What’s in the BoxRemember to look at both the maximum playtime that the battery can offer and how much battery life it has when played at loud volume. It’s pointless buying a loud Bluetooth speaker if you’re scared to crank it up due to excessive battery drain. Chaining/Pairing One of the most anticipated party speakers to be released is the Anker Soundcore Rave Mini. The Soundcore Rave Mini is an affordable loud portable Bluetooth speaker with LED lighting to create that party vibe. The speaker is lightweight with a handle on one side, so you can easily take your beats on the go. Battery

No matter how high you turn up the volume, there is almost no distortion (less than 0.1%) even if the table it’s on is shaking. This is especially impressive for a battery-operated speaker. It’s a sound you would expect from a more expensive in-home speaker. This is clever desing to consider that this speaker can work with various voltages on the batteries. When we look at a speaker’s output sound or volume and compare it to other speakers, we look at the output SPL, meaning the Sound Pressure Level, which is mentioned as a dB rating. This is also sometimes referred to as speaker sensitivity. The control panel and LCD screen are also nice features but their placement could’ve been better. The manufacturer decided to place the control panel on the top while the LCD display is located on the front panel. Placing them both on the top panel would make the speaker more user-friendly. Equalizer – The Bluetooth speaker needs to have equalizer settings so you can customize it according to the music genre. You should be able to fine-tune them or use the pre-set options manually. When you press the touchscreen at the top, the display will light for 15 seconds. At the same time, the front display will light for 15 seconds, showing the latest battery levels, the Bluetooth icon (if a device is connected), and the equalizer settings. Exos-9 is also louder but you can only pair two Exos-9 speakers together while you can pair up to 100 JBL Boomboxes. Exos-9 features EQ settings and JBL Boombox doesn’t.
