About this deal

When it comes to technical performance, I’d say the Dusk edges it out with a slightly more refined, “HD” feel to it. Not sure why I get this feeling as the actual difference in resolution between is nearly negligible. Perhaps it might just be something to do with hybrid multi-BA setup of the Dusk vs. the single planar driver of the Timeless. Or maybe it’s due to how clean the Dusk’s tuning is. Regardless, I would say the soundstage and imaging are about the same for both. The key difference is in the closed in vs. open, spacious feel of the Dusk vs. the Timeless. I much prefer openness of the Timeless and find that it helps the IEM “breathe” so-to-speak, enhancing my perception of instrument separation. On a final note, the Dusk is more dynamic than the Timeless. The lower midrange of the Timeless AE is shown with an efficient sense of body and depth when I have listen to vocals or to instruments such like violas, acoustic guitars and pianos. Male voices such like Dave Gahan, Eric Clapton and Sting are reproduced with adequate weight and fullness.

Near the 2-Pin connectors are flexible heat shrink ear guides on both sides that do offer extra comfort on the go. Basically the timeless just outright beat the M50's I know the community likes to make fun of people who buy this headphone but when I got it it was my first "audiophile" quality headphone and thought it was great but compared to this it's just not even a question it beats them in details and imaging too but not surprising it is cheaper right? If you are in the market for excellent IEMs and you're willing to spend a bit more than something like the Aria, these are gold. This is the best tuning for price in IEMs, except maybe the blessing but I can't speak to that. I've tried many, many cans and many IEMs, and these come out on top most of the time. Go buy them. You'll probably be very happy. The bundled case has a full metal construction with a fabric lining on the inside, it’s a little small considering the Timeless is on the larger side and I didn’t really like the idea of the metal construction as it’s really heavy and can scratch other things in your bag.

The design of the Timeless is pretty unique where the faceplate is disc shaped and many might think that this looks huge and will they fit? But surprisingly they fit very nicely and are isolated from most of the external noises without any issues. The nozzle is of good length and the provided tips are very nice in terms of comfort and fit.The Timeless AE comes with a modular headphone plug design with 4.4mm Balanced, 2.5mm Balanced and 3.5mm Single-Ended termination plugs that are included inside the box, which is a great addition that we didn’t have with the Original Timeless.

Caught these when they were 160 and love them to bits. I'm a clarity type of listener and while these excel at that the base is also commanding and a very clear way. Overall the highs are well open in nature with above average detail retrieval and separation combined with that natural tonality and timbre. It's non fatiguing for a longer listening period while bringing out that nice shimmer on the top. The Timeless has great bass extension – something larger planar drivers tend to excel at. It can dig deep, hitting those ultra-low notes with apparent ease and even enthusiasm. The Timeless has some great and physical albeit strictly controlled sub-bass rumble. Overall, Aladdin gives a comfortable listen with enough crispness not to sound dull. Aladdin is on the other hand full on steroids and providing a fun sound with boosted low, high, brightness, and separation. P1’s uber-neutral tonality sounds obviously sterile compared to Timeless, which at first impact come accross more engaging and vivid, especially due to the ostensibly more elevated bass line. That said, P1 are significantly better in terms of resolving power, midbass texturing (quite terrible on Timeless), instrument separation and organic timbre. When I initially received my 7hz Timeless the right driver was unfortunately faulty, but thanks to customer service I was able to get a new working set of drivers sent out to me. I never heard the OH10, but I own Starfield, ER2XR, B2 Dusk, and KATO. The way I perceive the Timeless in comparison with the others is not even close to the way you describe it in this review.

I disagree. Surely, given their flawed tonality tuning you do need EQ to make them at least audible. But the EQ can fix the tonality, not the technicalities nor the timbre. Timeless’ driver is “cheap”, and it shows. ReplyThe 7Hz Timeless has a light V-shaped but still, fairly balanced sound signature. Bass and treble are moderately boosted with the midrange just a touch recessed. It has a pleasing tonal balance where the amount of bass and treble feels about right.
