The key thing you will notice about the design is the very slim profile they are much smaller than other TWS I have tested. I found when testing the fit on my son these buds fit nicely as he has smaller ears. If you have larger ears you may want to consider changing the eartips for a larger pair which will help with that passive isolation. Wearing the Free2 Classic is easy. As we described earlier, make sure the SoundPEATS logo is upright and the tips are pointed directly into your ears. We love the low-profile design. Upon their arrival, we were quite excited to open the SoundPEATS Free2 Classic and get right into listening. However, we first wanted to take note on everything that’s in the box. The earbuds come shipped within their portable charging case with a few notable accessories. First, you get a short USB-C to USB-A charging cable. It’s long enough to charge, but awfully short; not too big of deal, but worth pointing out. Next, you get a larger and smaller size set of silicone eartips. These are used to swap-out the medium-sized tips that come pre-installed. Lastly, a user guide is included. It’s multi-lingual and contains a few tips and instructions on pairing, controlling and wearing the earbuds.That said, while it’s noticeable, it didn’t impact usability, and by the way, you can use the buds together or each one on its own. Wireless earbuds are commonplace now, largely thanks to the introduction of the Apple Air Pods (their last actually good innovation?), and I’ve had the pleasure of testing a few sets out over the past couple of years. Using the Free2 Classic wireless earbuds for making or receiving a phone call is easy. Tapping either earbud two times will answer an incoming call and automatically pause your music at the same time. The audio quality is acceptable, capable of transmitting clear voice without any noticeable distortion. We tested calls in three seperate instances and each time we had no complaints in regards to the audio quality or wireless transmission. In addition, they are IPX5 rated, so they are sweat resistant for workouts, and they have metal mesh over the mics to keep dust and debris out. On the outside of each earpiece is a touch-sensitive control pad, and on the Inside there are 6mm “bio-compound” diaphragm drivers. Once the buds are fully charged and you remove them from the case you will notice each bud has a small LED that will flash red and blue until you connect the buds to your smartphone. SoundPeats says the Free2 Classic is IPX5 rated which means sweat and some light rain won’t have an effect on the earbuds but don’t wear them while showering or swimming and do not use it in a sauna or steam room. The charging case is not waterproof, as a result of daily use, the effectiveness of the earbuds’ waterproofing may reduce over time. Touch Control Panel The buds should fit into your ear canal with the logos facing right side up. The tips of the earbuds should feel comfortable in your ears without feeling any pressure. Also, make sure you have the correct fitting eartips.

Please adjust the earbuds when you wear them and try to take one earbud out of your ears and hold them up to your mouth to see if it gets better. To turn on the earbuds, just open the case lid and take out each earbud. They will turn on automatically. If you want to manually turn the earbuds on, take them out of the case one by one and hold the earbud for 1.5 seconds in your ear. The earbuds will power on. To turn them off, you can just put them in the case or hold each earbud for 10 seconds. While the SoundPEATS Free2 classic’s build is lightweight, they still feel pretty sturdy and look great. In addition, while the case is entirely made of plastic, the two-tone color scheme and faux leather texture give these earphones a somewhat luxurious feel. As far as sound is concerned, I have to say I was pretty surprised at the clarity of these affordable buds, especially since they don’t support advanced audio codecs like aptX or LDAC. While they are more bass-heavy than I usually prefer, the low end doesn’t muddy the midrange at all, and it’s very well controlled and deep. I have taken a few calls on these and considering the audio quality when listening to music making calls was acceptable quality. You will notice the calls are clear without any interference. VerdictThe actual earbuds themselves may very well be the best-fitting and most comfortable I’ve ever tried. They just slot in (in one specific way) and fit perfectly. There was no adjusting, no changing rubber bits for the right shape or size, just out of the box comfort. That’s an absolute triumph in itself if we’re being honest.

In both instances, you need not worry about their integrity; they’ve been rigorously designed for water resistance. The Free2 Classic provide an ideal blend of features at a price point that’s quite enticing. Sure, they may not deliver on all fronts, but we honestly feel that most will be plenty satisfied with them. They’re compact, water reisistant and generously priced. If they’re in your budget, try them out! If you can stretch your budget a bit more, go with the Mini Pro!
