About this deal

Wireless connections work using radio waves. They generally use a transmitter and receiver, the former of which is the thermostat itself. The latter is attached to what you're controlling (i.e. home heat, water heat, you get the picture). Because they function using radio waves, it's important to take your thermostat's location into account - but that's next on the list. This goes along the same line as the above point. Sometimes it’s not the thermostat, but its accoutrements that cause the issue. If your SALUS wireless thermostat problems aren’t solved by now, consider looking at the receiver for damage or wear. Now I do not know what happened but they do not seem to working properly, the down stairs one sends the signal but the receiver does not responds. The price, frost protection, the fact it’s wireless and has 7-day capability all works in favour of the RT500RF. These two elements work in harmony using a radio frequency (hence, the RF). 5/2 & 7 Day Programming

If you've tried every step above to no avail, it may be time to consider relocating your thermostat. While the best spot may not be the most ideal, it's going to make your device function more easily. In this mode, user can set the schedules for thermostat (temperature setpoints for specific periods of time). Programmed schedules should use all time periods. Hi. I have just had a Gloworm 30 CXI Ultracom 2 installed with a Salus RT500RF Wireless Programmable Thermostat to control temperature. All my radiators have TRVs and I have noticed that the Salus is not switching the boiler off or stopping flow to the rads when it should be. Eg at 10pm I am asking to it maintain a room temp of 10c, the Salus thermometer is reading the room temp circa 22c after the heating has been on, but the boiler is still in central heating mode and the rads hot all night.

Sends alerts in real time, when a threat is detected, through audible and visual alarm. View product If they're rechargeable, they can also die out after a certain number of power cycles (usually ~300 or so).

With a new on-board load compensation feature, it offers the most cost effective fully compliant Boiler Plus solution on the market providing the homeowner with optimum efficiency and maximum heating control comfort. The Salus RT 520 RF thermostat also offers programming options, allowing users to set heating schedules based on their individual needs. This means that homeowners can optimize their heating system to operate efficiently while they are home and adjust to lower temperatures when they are away, reducing energy consumption and saving money on heating bills. Sometimes software is the problem, rather than hardware. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your mobile app and see if that resolves the issue. If you genuinely can’t find an issue with your thermostat but you also can’t get heat, it’s time to look at what it’s controlling. While nobody wants to hear this, sometimes the easiest solutions aren’t the ones that are needed. Have a professional take a look and diagnose the issue. There are lots of cheap and efficient wireless programmable room thermostats on the market, and the Salus RT500RF is one of the very best.Remembering to replace batteries regularly is important for all electronics that rely on them. Believe it or not, batteries have a lifespan, just like everything else! Your SALUS device will have two lights on it - one red, and one green. These serve to indicate whether your devices are paired (connected) and if neither is on that's a sign of one of two things. First, the batteries may be dead - see the above section. Second, it's unpaired itself, which happens from time to time. MENU - enter the menu options, press and hold for 3 sec to return to main screen or to deactivate Boost Mode.

The Salus RT 520 RF features a wireless receiver that allows communication with the thermostat from anywhere within the home. This means that users can conveniently control their heating settings from any room without the need for wires or cables. The wireless functionality also makes installation hassle-free. Remove the batteries from the thermostat, wait 30 seconds and replace them, then press the reset button (This will delete your programmed settings though)

Landlord settings is a pin code protected feature that allows the landlord to set a service reminder on the thermostat that will warn the tenant when the boiler is due its annual service. Hi I have the same problem as Grovis. I have the salus rt500rf and a potteron gold he. Does anyone know where the switch is inside the boiler to turn off the override that keeps it heating as abovr. The downstairs Salus thermostat seems to be calling for heat and the receiver switches 'on' but the boiler doesn't start, so the fault may not be with the Salus. If you are reasonably electrically competent there is a simple way to by-pass the Salus and find out. There’s also built-in start up programming. That means minimal time setting up the RT500RF wireless thermostat, as the built-in software does the majority of the work for you. Frost Protection Is there any chance that the TRV are actually controlling the boiler ie by keeping them on max they are continually trying to regulate the room temp? ( I think max is 25c+) I would have thought the Salus should be the one dictating what the boiler should do though otherwise is it impossible to have timed CH. Cheers.
