Although some characters you will love to hate, the character development was on point and these women really came to life. I would consider this a bit of a thriller but it does have a bit of humor . Evil incarnate and a brutal double murder shifted Alex’s focus from wants to needs. He needed to keep his family safe. He needed to find her. He needed to know what happened at the lake. I hope you enjoyed reading One of Us is Dead as much as I enjoyed writing it. This was the hardest book I've written thus far, thanks to five points of views and switching between past and present. I rewrote the ending many times as well, so I hope you liked the final version. This book was like a guilty pleasure!! Rich people can be so bad, but yet, so fun to read about! This book had it all, wealth, glamour, cattiness, cheating and or course MURDER!

I'm not sure this will be the last time we see the Bayview Crew, and I never say no to another installment, but I'm telling you, this is the best book in the series, and you shouldn't miss it! At Bayview High, five students–Simon, Addy, Cooper, Bronwyn, and Nate–are given detention. Simon, known for starting an online gossip group with his friend Janae to snitch on his classmates, suffers a sudden and fatal allergic reaction. Each of the four students had a motive to kill Simon, and after it is determined his death was not an accident, an investigation is started. TRIGGER WARNING: all they do is drink in this book. Sometimes they consume more alcohol than humanly possible.I wanted more intrigue as far as the murdery bits were concerned. For most of the narrative I actually forgot that the whole point was that someone was ultimately going to end up dead. There was so little focus on that. Sprinkled with subtle comedy, multiple POVs, and just enough crazy to keep you guessing, this long-awaited follow up to A PERFECT MARRIAGE is a must-read for fans of women’s fiction and domestic thrillers. I had a lot of fun reading the first 2 books but I didn't feel this final one. I felt it was unnecessary, Karen M. McManus should stop at book 2 and write other stuff. I buddy read this with Ashley & Megan and we literally flew through this book in a day! I finished last (as usual 😅) but only within an hour or two of them! Our DM’s were blowing up 😆! I also learned some new words, thanks to this book, like “kinsult” = kind insult and “clexy” = classy sexy 😃

I guess I just needed more of the thriller component throughout the book. There was too much cheating, and the intrigues started to feel a bit repetitive after a while. Until the very end, it had a bit too much unnecessary drama and too few dead bodies for my taste.Crystal is the younger woman who marries Blake. She came from Texas and has never been around wealth. Just wait until she sees what she’s dealing with. You won’t want to put this book down. It’s intriguing and draws emotions of suspense and curiosity. I loved this read and encourage everyone to grab it as your next book. I loved how the book was told from various points of view - it let us get a little snippet of everyone's mind and helped move the plot along. The title: One of Us Is Dead is a completely accurate title. The story is told from the perspective of five different first-person narrators, and one of them is dead by the end of the book. Some book titles lie (why yes, I am still bothered by The Perks of Being a Wallflower), but this book is not one of them.

Well this was a fun read!!!! Jeneva Rose's talent is clear as soon as you begin the first chapter. This book reminded me of the television show, Desperate Housewives but WAY better. I have to say, it was an amazing experience to spend more time with the characters I truly loved. I have soft spots for both Nate and Cooper! I couldn't guess the culprit until the end. The pacing was riveting and extra exciting, making me sit on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, barely gathering my composure, and stuffing popcorn into my mouth as if I were watching my favorite thriller movie. It's even more enjoyable than binge-watching the Scream series! I usually don’t do well with plots centered around catty, rich wives, but this one worked in a sexy Desperate Housewives kinda way. Out of all the “housewife” thrillers I’ve read, this one features the most deliciously evil villain!

One of Us is Dead is like Fried Green Tomatoes met The Real Housewives of Atlanta, they fell in love and had a baby that was essentially an Adult version of Mean Girls.
