Once again, high kudos to the engineers at ASUS, who have also brought a very good gaming headset to the market with the new ROG Strix Fusion II 500. The headset offers an excellent sound (stereo and surround sound), a great wearing comfort and a chic RGB lighting. Our review sample also has nothing to complain about in terms of handling (controls and software). I witnessed audio cues that I’ve never witnessed before whilst playing games that I’ve played countless times beforehand. I’ll not bore you with the specs because in truth, I don’t fully understand them. I’ve always judged through firsthand use rather than what’s written on paper. My judgement here, if not already clear, is that FUSION is absolutely worth its price, and then some. The headset is must have. Not only does it put you in the game with deeper bass and crisp highs, but its microphone is brilliant too. he quad-DACs and the beamforming microphones are in a league of their own, and it doesn’t matter what you’re doing, it’s going to sound absolutely astonishing The 7.1 mode also works with music, and with certain genres this again adds a nice effect. So it won’t replace a physical 7.1 setup, but it’s definitely worth gaming with the mode switched on.

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. That's why I also end up giving the ASUS ROG Fusion II 500 a score of 9 out of 10 along with the great product award. Although the price can scare a lot away, it is still a headset that is at the top, and without a doubt will be a good candidate if you want a headset where the sound is just above the standard, and still with good comfort. For their performance, ROG Fusion II 300 + Fusion II 500 earned Advanced Design as well as Diamond recognition. Its latest gaming headset, the ROG Fusion II 500, is a mid to high-end effort that is wired (generally less hassle, in our opinion, since you don’t have to worry about battery life) and billed as suitable for any platform you fancy hooking it up to, including the current and previous generation of consoles, PC, tablets, and smartphones. Asus ROG Fusion II 500 price and availability

The Strix Fusion 700 is primarily designed to be wired up to a PC, PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch via USB for immersive gaming. It also has built-in Bluetooth 4.2, which means you can use it wirelessly with any device that supports it, including smartphones. The PowerA FUSION Wired Gaming Headset delivers high fidelity, accurate sound for immersive gaming audio across multiple platforms, chat clarity via detachable boom mic, and lightweight comfort with memory foam headband and earpads. When it comes to quality, it certainly means that there is no fault with ROG headphones. Fusion II 500 are comfortable, excellent sound quality, and above all affordable headphones, which have no equal in their price range. Turn up your game with the FUSION Gaming Headset. Featuring large 50mm drivers that deliver stereo sound, deep bass and crisp highs, via noise-isolating ear cups for the ultimate sound experience. Discreet, on-ear controls let you mute yourself with one touch or change the volume with a twist. The sleek, flexible boom microphone provides mic monitoring for clearer communication and on-ear mute so you can be heard when you want to. The adjustable memory foam headband and padded ear cups provide comfort for long-lasting gaming sessions If you’ve seen the other members of Asus’ ROG Strix Fusion headset family then you’ll know they all share a distinct visual DNA. In the case of the Fusion Wireless, it most closely resembles the Strix Fusion 300, which is to say it features some of the most conservative styling in the lineup.

The Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 is a pricey gaming headset, but its build quality, features and performance just about justify the high price. This is a premium-looking bit of kit, and if you have other Aura-compatible peripherals and components then you’re really going to like how this syncs up with your other kit. Firstly the ROG Fusion II 500 is a fantastic sounding headset. The combination of large 50mm drivers with a frequency response of 20Hz-40kHz mean that the soundscape is broad and every element has room to breathe.

This aspect of its performance is especially apparent when you put the Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 into 7.1 virtual surround sound mode. Asus promises that the ROG Strix Fusion 700’s virtual surround, developed in conjunction with audio specialists Bongiovi Acoustics, will be a step above that of its rivals. Ultimately, I can recommend the Fusion for those who need a ROG headset with great sound quality... Despite my dislike of stereo headsets, I must admit I was fairly impressed with the Fusion. After I put the right earphone slightly off my ear, I found myself actually enjoying using it.

However, the Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 excels at atmospherics, really bringing out sounds that can often be overlooked or lost in the mix with more bombastic headsets, such as footsteps and falling bullet casings. 7.1 surround Of course, it’s all very well having a headset that looks the part, but if it doesn’t sound good, then you’re a little bit stuffed. Well, I’m pleased to report that the ROG Fusion II 500 sounds brilliant. The Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 is comfortable to wear, thanks to its adjustable band. It also comes with a second set of ear cushions, which you can swap for the ones that are on the earpieces out of the box for a better fit. It’s not too heavy either, so if you’re planning on a long play session it shouldn’t feel too uncomfortable. Great for game or video chat and conference calls via Discord, TeamSpeak, Skype, Teams, GoToMeeting, Webex, Zoom and more The ROG Fusion II 500 is designed for RPG and FPS games. It achieves an unprecedented 130 dB SNR ― a spec unattainable by single DAC headsets. Plus, its exclusive 50 mm ASUS Essence drivers and airtight chambers provide deep and powerful bass so you can precisely pinpoint the origin of gunfire or explosions on the battlefield and experience ultimate gaming immersion. You’ll notice also that there isn’t a pronounced and detachable boom mic on the Fusion II 500, unlike a lot of other gaming headsets. That’s because the functionality sits inside the headset, with Asus using what it calls ‘AI Beamforming Microphones’ that feature some intriguing AI noise-cancelling tech.
