About this deal

The FinePix S5600 will be available in September, with pricing to be announced nearer the time. For more information go to www.fujifilm.co.uk or call 0207 586 1477. Use a fully charged battery. If the camera turns off during the firmware update, it won’t work well. Its body format is what has become known as SLR-style, and indeed it does look exactly like a tiny SLR. Its diminutive size isn’t really apparent until you place it next to a real full-size SLR; even compared to my small *ist D the S5600 looks like a half-scale model of a real camera. Overall, I've found that the Finepix S5600 takes beautiful portraits and can produce very nice macro shots. However, shots taken at medium and long range are not as sharp as they could be and at times the standard colour setting produces results that appear a little drab, although a chrome setting is provided and produces very vivid colours. The sharpness issue is easily corrected: by loading images into The Gimp and adding a slight sharpening filter I've managed to produce some striking landscape shots. This is just the digital equivalent of retouching negatives so I don't count this as cheating. In fact, learning how to Photoshop your pictures should be considered part and parcel of learning more about photography in the digital age. ISO 200 is the default setting in automatic mode, and produces superb results that are still completely noise-free.

Encased in a new fixed housing, the f/3.2 ? 3.5 Fujinon lens has a focal length of 38-380mm (35mm equivalent), and the camera boasts a fast start-up time of 1.1sec and 0.01sec shutter lag time.

Power source options: 4 x AA-size Alkaline batteries, 4 x AA-size NiMH batteries (not included, sold separately), AC Power Adapter AC-5VX (not included, sold separately) At 800 ISO there is some image noise starting to appear in the darker areas, and some fine detail has been lost to the noise reduction system, but the results are still extremely good. The camera was introduced by Fuji on July 28, 2005. It was awarded the title of best zoom camera for 2006/2007 by the EISA. [1] Unusually for a Fujifilm camera, colours are slightly under-saturated in the standard shooting mode, although the level of detail is very good.FUJIFILM MyFinePix Studio also has a variety of editing features to enhance the quality of digital photos. It has an auto-enhancement feature, which automatically adjusts the brightness, contrast, and color of a photo. It also has a red-eye reduction feature, which helps to reduce the appearance of red-eye in photos. Additionally, it has a variety of filters, which can be used to create unique effects. Overall FUJIFILM MyFinePix Studio is an easy-to-use photo editing and management software for owners of FUJIFILM cameras. It can be used for organizing, editing and sharing digital photos. Some of the main features include the possibility to manage, edit and print digital photos. Organize and tag images This article needs additional citations for verification. Also worth noting that processing of RAW images from your device is the main point of using software like this without shelling out for expensive processing suites like Adobe Lightroom. This is my second Fujifilm camera and I am more than happy with it. It feels very good and snug in the hand and is very straightforward to use. I like the option of the viewfinder although the screen is good and has a brightness control. The resulting pictures are of high quality and indoor use has been particularly good. The zoom is quite exceptional and transforms nature photography. There are also a number of other features that would normally come only on a camera costing considerably more.

Complete with an unrivalled sensitivity range from ISO 64 to ISO 1600, the camera makes it possible to achieve crisp photographs with minimal noise, even in very low light conditions. The Anti-Blur Mode, which exploits the camera’s exceptional ISO capabilities, reduces blurring caused by movement of the user, as well as movement blur caused by the subject, making it much more effective than image stabilisation technology alone. This is an ideal camera for people who wish to go from an small instant type camera to an Digital SLR, It has very good zoom quality and has many features that you get on top quality equipment. An ideal camera to begin with.
