She-Hulk by Dan Slott: The Complete Collection Volume 1

DS: Doctor Who and the Master. I would do that in a second. They did something similar in an episode entitled ‘Power of the Doctor’ recently, but it felt weird. It didn’t feel like the way in which I would have done it. For the most part, I don’t like repeating stories I’ve already told. So like, even though we’re coming up on the tenth anniversary of Superior and are doing this new Superior Spider-Man #0, which will lead into things that celebrate ten years of Superior Spider-Man, you’ll see that we’re doing something new in a very interesting way. When the main four members of the Fantastic Four take an unexpectedly long leave of absence, Jen fills in for them as part of a rag-tag team that includes Medusa, Ant-Man, and a pop star in a Thing costume! This team appears in FF (2013), which could be taken as short for “Fantastic Four” or for “Future Foundation,” the team of kids and teens that the replacement Four are ostensibly coaching in the absence of Marvel’s first family. [ Marvel Unlimited] Sensational She-Hulk (1989) #9-30, 47, & 51-60 and Thing & She-Hulk: The Long Night (2002) #1 are not collected in this format at this time.Slott turns this one-dimensional, visually bland and archaic villainess into someone you can actually imagine meeting and pitying. The fact that Titania was originally born premature and incapable of physically growing made her childhood as a victim of bullying relatable to me on too many levels. Then how she wanted powers to become a superhero only hit home harder with me. Contest of Champions II (1999): See Guide to Marvel Universe Events – Context of Champions II. She-Hulk appears in #1-2 & 5 She-Hulk disappears from view after Onslaught, returning to regular appearances in the latter half of the Luke Cage vehicle Heroes For Hire and appears in the opening arc of the 1998 Avengers relaunch before joining in issue #27. Then again, when I really thought she was generic, Slott goes over her first meeting with She-Hulk. She tried to prove herself, and then She-Hulk just stomped her. It’s downright sad to see that after getting superpowers, she could still be made to feel pathetic. She was still literally under the heel of someone else. Seeing her ask for help from other supervillains against She-Hulk is legitimately sad. Slott should get some recognition for making me feel anything for this villain. Drawing Between the Lines Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk in All-New, All-Different Marvel Now (2015 – present) She-Hulk in A-Force (2016) #1-10 & Civil War II (2016)

After Might Avengers (2013) #14: Uncanny X-Men (2013) #23-25 & 31 (appearing as Xavier’s lawyer; earlier issues are retconned by #31)Une très bonne lecture dans l'ensemble sur ces 2 runs She Hulk (2004/2005). Première lecture sur She Hulk alias Jennifer Walters, et j'ai beaucoup apprécié découvrir ce personnage.

Infinity & Inhumanity: See Guide to Marvel Universe Events – Infinity & Inhumanity. She-Hulk is a main character in Infinity: The Hunt (2013) #1-2; she does not appear in 3-4. She also appears in Inhumanity: The Awakening (2014) #1-2. After Disassembled: Marvel Holiday Special (1991) 2005, Marvel Team-Up (2004) #11-13, Fantastic Four: Foes (2005) #2, 4, & 6, Marvel Knights 4 (2004) #21 Marvel Fanfare (1982) #48: Not collected. She-Hulk is the primary story in this issue, which immediately precedes #12. After Axis: Thor (2014) #2, Fantastic Four (2014) #11, Fantastic Four (2014) #13-14 & 645, S.H.I.E.L.D. (2015) #1 (cameo) Even though this one-shot was written by 2005 series writer Peter David and published alongside issue #36, due to some of the supporting characters it occurs not only after the series, but also after Jen’s next series – released later in 2009! However, if you’re only reading sequentially through this guide, there’s really no harm in reading it here – it’s not as though it spoils the subsequent series. [ Marvel Unlimited]First, you could start at the start – with her first appearance in The Savage She-Hulk (1980) #1. Just keep in mind that this is a generic Bronze Age comic from before Jen started to break the fourth wall! It's no secret that I was not a fan of the Charles Soule She-Hulk series. I mean, I pretty much hated it so I went into this praying it would at least be entertaining. It was so much more than that! I mean, I adored Jen in A-Force and Totally Awesome Hulk but those were team efforts. This was a solo Jennifer Walters series and I came out of this a fan! I have a big crush on Jennifer and I could not recommend this series more!
