About this deal

In your Charge phase, each time this unit declares a charge, you can only select the closest enemy unit (excluding AIRCRAFT) as the target of that charge. The odd men out here are the Pariahs, the cybernetic hybrid psychic nulls converted into Necron service. These were basically the Necrons’ elite melee units and their models were pretty bad. They were quietly dropped in fifth edition when the Necrons got a new codex, replaced with Lychguard, who fill a similar role and have a somewhat similar aesthetic without being quite so chunky and out-of-place. If you were the Space Wolves, these Epic Deeds would each get a song sung in their praise. Necrons don’t have time for singing, they’re too busy reclaiming the galaxy using Stratagems such as The Deathless Arise. This metallic mantle glows brightly with the burning energies of the stars. As the bearer translocates, they move like a burning meteor through the enemy ranks, incinerating all in their wake. Mike: Hell yea, the Veil of Darkness was my favorite piece of wargear! The Lord and a joined unit can move via Deep Strike! They can even Deep Strike out of combat. Bouncing around the board with your crew of ten Immortals dishing out 20 S5 AP4 shots was a treat… until you inevitably mis-happed! Pariahs

Every kill made by these emotionless murderers sees no excess energy expended, every movement perfectly optimised to carry them to their next victim. These constructs are running on exhausted power supplies, leaving them nothing in reserve to effect self-repair during battle. Alternatively, if you want to disrupt your opponent’s tactics with some disappearing and reappearing Ophydian Destroyers , use Burrowing Nightmares. While this unit is wholly within your deployment zone, each time you make a Reanimation Protocol roll for this unit, each dice result of a 6 counts as one additional successful roll. This warlord is able to multitask at a rate that would drive the shorter-lived races to madness. Performing complex calculations and simultaneously directing the firepower of their protectors is a simple matter to one with such processing power. The soldiery in this unit are receptive to the desires and commands of their betters even at great distances. This unit will benefit from the selected directive of your army's active command protocol while it is within any range of a friendly NECRONS CHARACTER model (excluding C'TAN SHARD models). instead of 6". The datasheets using UNALIGNED keyword can be found in the following Factions: Unaligned: Unaligned. Employ this Stratagem when you need a late-game objective grab. It’s also great for eliciting a real double-take from your opponent. Yes, that unit was right there, and now it isn’t, where’s it going to be next? Wargear Stratagems Warlords of the Mephrit Dynasty will suffer no threats to their rule, annihilating any who dare to oppose them.

Mike: Profile-wise, Necron units tend to look like marines from a profile standpoint, albeit slower (with Initiative 2), and with higher Leadership (10). At this early point even Necron Warriors had a 3+ armor save, something that would go away later as the army’s basic troops dropped to a 4+.Still, these were some beefy robots! Necron Lord They say Space Marines know no fear, but they’ve yet to meet this dread form of Cryptek! These Necrons’ techno-arcane mastery is over fear itself. By channelling the same dread power for which the Nightbringer was so greatly feared, it can cause even the most stoic foes to flee in terror before it. A NECRONS Detachment is one that only includes models with the NECRONS keyword (excluding models with the UNALIGNED keyword). Keep an Unending tally for each NECRONS DESTROYER unit from your army. At the end of each battle round, add 1 to that unit's Unending tally if it destroyed 2 or more enemy units that battle round.

Mike: The only Troop in the codex but a pretty solid one. Basically a more resilient Tactical Marine with Initiative 2. With no options aside from disruption fields and with the fact that each Necron army had to spend at least 360 points on these guys, you can see how some people thought the army was boring. Also despite their WBB save, they would get completely rolled over by any other squad that had a power weapon or two. However they could hang in a firefight and could even glance a vehicle to death pretty effectively, making them good Troops. These warriors have no qualms about utilising methods of war that even their peers within the Mephrit Dynasty find obscene. While an enemy unit is within 3" of this unit, subtract 2 from the Leadership characteristic of models in that enemy unit.
