Oh and learning Excel! I moved from refusing to work with it, to thinking ‘I guess its ok’, to ‘ach I LOVE Excel!’ Without learning that skill, to create and analyse data, nothing could be designed!

The Bible Explained with Infographics: An Interview with

I had a powerful moment working on the Ark and Tabernacle, revisiting the level of detail in the design brief and spec given by God, the minutiae that had purpose, meaning and delighted God! That detailed brief given by God in Exodus took skill, patience and perseverance to execute and only with anointing, producing something of excellence for his Glory alone! That brought greater freedom, increased permission and affirming to me as a creative. He is so so good! Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me turn away from sin going forward. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus into my heart and I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for sending your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.” When I heard what it was my spirit just leapt! Not only was it in this visual language which is particularly helpful for those who are visual learners like me, it was to be part of a prestigious set of infographic books by HarperCollins but most of all it was about Jesus… unbelievably above and beyond what I ever dared to dream or hope or imagine! My heart is to show that God’s word can be approached, wrestled with, analysed and meditated on. The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness as we interact with it. I wanted the circle endpoints all laid on the X-axis rather than sitting adjacent to each other on the Y-axis, so that the connecting lines create a rainbow… indicating the hope that Jesus brings!

Ok. However, tradition is not unequivocal about that. Conservative scholars these days generally seem to want to separate 1-2 Chronicles from Ezra-Nehemiah as the content and purpose of the two seem quite distinct (in some ways Ezra-Nehemiah flows on more naturally from 1-2 Kings). Of course Ezra is about Ezra, and not necessarily by Ezra, apart from the few chapters of Autobiography in Ezra (note that Nehemiah, which is integrally part of the twofold book of Ezra-Nehemiah, also contains an even longer autobiography by Nehemiah). I’d be very cautious about attributing Ezra-Nehemiah to Ezra, and would think that the likelihood of 1-2 Chronicles coming from the pen of the author of Ezra-Nehemiah as being almost 0%. The audience can, if they choose, follow some of the lines from prophecy to fulfillment; however, as it’s a bound book, that’s not the main purpose of the infographic. It was designed to show there are connections and the beautiful pattern those connections weave. and then came Bible Infographics for Kids Volume 2...and Bible Infographics for Kids Activity Book... aaaaand Bible Infographics for Kids Playing Cards.

Emily Jensen, cofounder of Risen Motherhood and coauthor of Risen Motherhood: Gospel Hope for Everyday Moments I basically love all things paper and ink, working as an illustrator and conceptual designer for print for 24 years and in publishing for 17 of those. That experience stretched across different media including: top magazines; Alpha and HTB; global charities like World Vision and Zacharias Trust and publishers including HarperCollins, Hodder & Stoughton and Penguin Random House. There are some deeper levels of information that the reader can explore should they wish to, but not doing so won’t detract from the main messages of the infographic. Matthew M. THE INFOGRAPHIC BIBLE

This incredible gift of co-creating with him is extended to every single person and it’s in that place that dreams are birthed, awaked and activated into reality. My passion is to work with God to awaken, activate and affirm creatives, to rise up and open Kingdom doors. The book of Revelation proclaims the door that Jesus opens no man can shut! It is key to say that each contributor’s view is uniquely linked to their data set and will often differ from other contributor’s, or in fact, my own, view. This was important because I feel different theologies are not something to be feared, but to be embraced and grappled with. A healthy maturity comes from this wrestling. It is certainly true of my own journey.Catching up on some sleep I think… and then who knows, it’s one of the things I love about being freelance and get so excited working with Jesus, because who knows the doors he is going to open next! About the Infographic Bible The leaders Rhoda and Andy have been amazing in supporting and championing me at all costs. Rhoda played several roles in the project to support me including data contributor and supporter (see pp 86-87 for example). The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness as we interact with it. Throughout the book follows the unifying theme of God's love, mankind's rebellion, and God's work to reconcile and redeem mankind.
