Mogu Mogu is made with real fruit juice, which means it is a source of vitamin C, but also contains a fairly high level of sugar. In general, it is not an unhealthy drink, as it is low in cholesterol, contains zero fat and is around 170 calories per bottle on average. They are a great source of vitamin C and contain zero fat. Being low in cholesterol and it’s a great choice for health-conscious individuals. The uniqueness of this chewy yet refreshing drink is both interesting and fascinating. It’s not hard to see why this drink is continuing to go from strength to strength. Before trying it myself, I gave some of this flavour to my partner, who is a big peach fan. After taking a sip, they immediately said ‘Wow! That’s good!’ and proceeded to take the bottle to their desk and continued to drink it. I eventually got to try some, and I can agree with their general assessment. There’s something about this particular flavour that feels a bit more like a fruit juice than the rest of the flavours: a slightly lighter taste perhaps. Once again, the jelly pieces do a good job of enhancing the flavour. On the whole, it’s a pretty comprehensive peach drink experience, and much like with mango, I think it’s a flavour that works well in jelly form. It’s a strong showing, and I really enjoyed it, so I can’t help but give this flavour a ground-breaking 9 out of 10. The name Mogu Mogu comes from the Japanese term ‘to chew’. This, of course, refers to small cubes of nata de coco suspended in each drink.

Mogu Mogu drinks are a range of refreshing fruit juices. They combine delicious flavours of real fruit, with added chunks of chewy nata de coco. These chewy, jelly-like cubes, made from coconut make this drink a unique refreshment. With every sip of juice, you get a burst of chewy goodness.

Where is Mogu Mogu From?

Nata de coco is a chewy, translucent jelly made from fermented coconut water. It is often used as an ingredient in desserts, drinks, and other food products. Nata de coco is known for its unique texture and refreshing taste. It is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine and can be found in various flavours and forms. How Many Mogu Mogu Flavours Are There? There’s something about this lychee flavour that was difficult to place. The flavour itself is a very good imitation of lychee, but it also had a kind of… floral taste to it? If you’re looking for a drink that’s still sweet but perhaps a little less sweet than the other flavours of mogu mogu, this would be a good one to choose. It reminded me a lot of the lychee flavoured popping pearls or perhaps more specifically, the lychee jelly that you might get in a bubble tea. It’s pretty good, and I’d definitely drink it again. I’d give it a strong 7.5/10.

Nata de Coco is the added ingredient in the Mogu Mogu range of drinks. Produced by the fermentation of coconut water, it is also referred to as coconut gel. There are currently 17 flavours of Mogu Mogu sold in 60 countries worldwide. All bursting with flavour and zesty, tangy fruit. Water 41.73%, Mango Juice, 25%, Nata de Coco, 25%, Fructose 4%, Sugar 4%, Sugar 4%, Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Nature Identical Flavor (Mango), Artificial Colors (Tartrazine, Sunset Yellow), Preservative (Sodium Benzoate) Added. Strawberries! They’re one of the best things about summer. Whether eaten on their own or perhaps with some ice cream or even atop a cake, strawberries routinely bring joy into my life. This drink is no different. To me, strawberry is a classic flavour for jelly, so there was something oddly nostalgic about this flavour. It’s another really solid flavour in the lineup, and if you like strawberry flavoured drinks then you need to make room in your fridge for this one! I'd give it a 8 out of 10.

Recently it’s become popular with another oriental drink, Bubble Tea. This is another drink that is rising to fame in the UK and this blog post from Twinings explains exactly what it is – ‘What is Bubble Tea?’. But what is nata de coco? This unique drink ingredient is a translucent jelly made from coconut water. It originates from the Philippines and is a popular addition to many desserts and sweet treats. The consensus I reached on orange after drinking the whole bottle was that the orange flavour was really strong and tangy, so much so that it actually resembled an orange ice lolly or something like that more than an actual orange. This is not a bad thing, of course - a melted orange Solero or Callipo is what it reminded me of, and as the days are getting warmer in the UK, this was a pretty nice taste to be able to experience. It’d probably be quite interesting in that way if you mixed it on ice. If you like tart but sweet citrus flavours, I would recommend the orange; you can’t really go wrong with it. I’ll give this one a 7/10. This translucent jelly is usually referred to as ‘healthy’ due to it having fewer calories compared to other desserts of this type.
