About this deal
Used for heating cylindrical parts in industrial applications. They can heat anything from plastics to gels and food products to prevent them from solidifying in the drum. Water Heater
A still can be heated with an electric hot plate, propane, or even over a fire. However, it is best to run stills with an electric heating element and a digital controller. When running a still with an electric heating element and digital controller there is no need to worry about filling a propane tank, open flames, or a hot plate cycling. The best thing about running a still with a controller is the ability to easily dial in the drip rate. As output slows, increase the % of power (the still will need the power increased a few times during the run to maintain the desired output rate). Always run the still by drip rate and not by temperature. Traditionally used in immersion heaters, water heaters and 12v water heaters feature a metal rod used to heat the water. They often feature a thermostat too. Mica Strip HeaterThe electrical element senses the internal water temperature and this can be adjusted up and down. This gives you surface temperature control. The thermostatic element also features a 2 hour button which can either change the temperature for 2 hours or turn off after 2 hours. They also incorporate a thermal fuse as a safety feature.
Primarily used in industrial heating solutions, these mica-insulated heaters are popular for hot plates and sealing. Immersion Heaters or Immersion Water Heaters Standard Electric Towel Rails should be turned on for at least 4 hours to reach their peak temperature.

The Clawhammer Supply digital controller is able to run in a set value mode as well as in manual mode. When running a still with a digital controller it is best to run the controller in manual mode.
