About this deal

The Celestron Inspire 100AZ is a portable short refractor telescope that is ideal for viewing the sky and the ground. The Inspire 100AZ has the biggest aperture of the Inspire family of telescopes, and its short tube provides a wider field of view ideal for viewing the planets, moon, star clusters, and brighter deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy at night. The optical tube is also perfect for use as a spotting scope during the day thanks to the erect image star diagonal. The StarPointer Pro red dot finderscope, StarPointer Pro eyepieces (20mm and 10mm), 90° erect image diagonal, integrated smartphone adapter, and red LED flashlight are all included with the Inspire 100AZ. There’s also a small red flashlight included with the Inspire telescopes, which mounts to the centre of the hub of the tripod below the mount head and can be detached from the mount with the turn of a knob. It’s a little too bright to use as a plain flashlight at night, but the diffuser built into the tripod makes it into a really great tray light to softly illuminate your accessories without completely ruining your night vision. The Inspire 100AZ telescope would be most suitable for younger beginners as the views and versatility would keep their interest going. Dust cap camera mount

For medium magnification, which might be overkill, a 15mm gold-line is a good option. It will provide 44x with the Inspire 100AZ, which is good for viewing a lot of moderately sized deep-sky objects. The SVBONY 15mm 70-degree is a bit more comfortable, sharper, and offers a wider field of view, and the 15mm Agena Starguider is also a great choice if you’re willing to put up with the expense.

Despite that, it will not get as clear and sharp views of deep sky objects as a dedicated reflector geared for deep space viewing. It will also lag behind more focused refractors that excel at getting views of high contrast things like the rings of Saturn. Again, it can do everything well but nothing spectacularly. Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Mars should look pretty great through the scope and fairly easy to locate. Beginners would have a lot of fun with this feature, although a phone isn’t sensitive enough for deep-sky objects.

The included accessories give you a great value right out of the box and enhance this telescope’s strengths immediately.I personally would not recommend buying the Inspire 100AZ if you’re serious about astronomy and want to get the most out of your money. As well as the 20mm and 10mm Kellner eyepieces supplied, there’s a 90° erect image diagonal included, meaning the telescope is also suitable for terrestrial observations.

When the bullseye does not change from color red, the smartphone camera is not successfully “sensing” the sky and is not able to determine its pointing position. There are several possible reasons for this:The included Celestron Starry Night Software provides resources and knowledge to help you observe our solar system and thousands of other celestial objects. The software will allow you find out information about the best celestial objects to view based on your time and location.
