Using the DIY Baby K’Tan for Babywearing As I said in my Moby review, I don’t think the Moby is all that hard to learn, but some people do get really frustrated with it, and some people are too intimidated to try it at all. When I’m wearing my Moby in public, a lot of people love it, but they ask if it “comes like that” or if I have to tie it like that, and I have to say that I have to tie it like that. The thing with the Baby K’tan is that it pretty much comes like that! Description Baby K’tan offers 5 different sizes to ensure a snug yet comfortable fit when carrying your baby around:By following these safety tips, you can help create a safe sleep environment for your baby. Remember, always use caution when using any type of baby sleep product and consult with your pediatrician if you have any questions or concerns. Adjusting and Customizing the DIY Baby K’Tan

There are so many baby carrying options available; you can find my best baby carriers post here. Benefits of Babywearing: Finally, making your own baby carrier can be a great way to bond with your child. When you make something yourself, it’s often more special to you than something you bought. And when you make a carrier for your baby, you’ll be able to think about them every time you use it. As a new parent, you may be wondering if it’s worth it to make your own baby carrier. After all, there are so many great carriers on the market. But there are also some great benefits to making your own carrier, especially if you’re on a budget. I find this type of wrap is way easier when you are going out and about. If you are trying to wrap using a regular wrap like a Boba, there is so much fabric that when you get out of the car, the fabric can pool on the ground and easily get dirty or muddy.

Research has also shown a decrease in babies crying when mothers carried their babies on their chests, leading to a more relaxed environment for everyone and it is believed that Kangaroo Care can aid successful breastfeeding. 2. Babies in slings, wraps or carriers tend to learn more Human milk is specially designed for human babies, Colostrum is the perfect first food. It is exactly what baby needs - just the right mix of vitamins and minerals Babies carried on their caregiver’s chest, tend to learn more which causes them to be smarter. Dr. Sears explains that because these babies fuss and cry less, they spend more time in what is known as the state of quiet alertness, an ideal state for learning. The Baby K'tan BREEZE Baby Carriers are made of 100% cotton - with jersey knit cotton on one half of the loops and a unique cotton-mesh on the other half of the loops. This cotton-mesh construction allows for added airflow. This is a great option for people who want a more breathable carrier with a natural fabric.

The one thing we noticed while researching the Baby K’tan Original Baby Carrier, was that parents loved how easy it was to slip on and that getting baby into the correct position was almost hassle free. Another great feature of the KTan is the fact that it comes with a built-in sunshade. This is perfect for those sunny days when you want to make sure your baby is protected from the sun. The sunshade can also be used to help keep your baby warm on those cold winter days. They are recommended to use from birth to 35 pounds. As noted before, as the baby grows you will have to change the size you are wearing. How tight should Baby K’tan be?If you’re considering making your own baby carrier, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure you choose a pattern that’s right for your skill level. If you’re a beginner, you may want to start with a simpler pattern. And if you’re more experienced, you can look for patterns that offer more challenging features. Each position was also carefully researched to allow for healthy infant development every step of the way (e.g. baby’s legs and hips). Baby K’tan Original Material

To start, cut your fabric into three equal strips. Then, fold each strip in half lengthwise and sew the raw edges together. Sizing is the most important aspect of getting a Baby K’tan. Be sure to read their sizing info here. For reference, I wear a size 20 or 22 so I got an XL. It’s a bit big, though, and I wish I’d gotten a Large. I have huge boobs, which may be what throws off my sizing. If I didn’t have 42G boobs, maybe I’d wear a 16 or 18 shirt/dress, which would put me in range of a Large Baby K’tan. You can wash your Baby K’tan to tighten it up a bit, but if it doesn’t fit well out of the box, return it for another size. When you put your baby in it, it should feel very snug, because the fabric is going to loosen up as you wear it. The looser it is, the harder it will be on your body to carry the weight and the less safe it becomes for your baby. Bottom Line Aside from sleep, a warm plate of food and a long, relaxing bath, a pair of extra hands is one thing I always dreamed of when our baby was born. It’s natural to only want to stare at their adorable little hands and feet all day long but let’s face it — unless you have a house full of servants who jump at your command 24/7, you have to get some work done around the house. As a first time parent, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the different products on the market designed to help you transport your baby. The DIY Baby KTan is a great option for those who want to save money and have a bit more control over the process. Here are some tips to help you get started.
