About this deal

It’s not normally necessary, but if you want to clean the tank you can carefully tip your Aqua Dragons (and their water) into another clean container while you rinse out their tank. Only use water and a clean cloth or brush to clean the tank, don’t use any chemicals or detergent, because that could harm your Aqua Dragons.

Yes, Aqua Dragons are living creatures that exist in the wild - their official scientific name is Artemia Salinas. When you receive them, your Aqua Dragons eggs are in a state of hibernation called Cryptobiosis, and they need you to bring them to life! See a full explanation of the life cycle of these amazing creatures here . Aqua Dragons are fun for kids, and animal lovers who will choose the exact moment they will bring to life their beloved pets! The light was a nice addition; it could be used as a nightlight in an older and more trustworthy child’s room, although you can’t really replace the batteries with ease once it’s filled so I’d be nervous about leaving the light on too much. It can vary quite a bit depending on how many eggs were in the sachet and the conditions in the tank. You can expect anywhere between a dozen or so up to a hundred!Aqua Dragons are known for their hardiness and ability to adapt to different environments, but it's still important to be mindful of their health and provide them with proper care to ensure they live a healthy and happy life. Proper feeding, and maintaining a consistent temperature are all important factors in maintaining the health of your Aqua Dragons. If there is food still floating in the water (the water is cloudy) then they don’t need to be fed. If the water looks quite clear and the aqua dragons are looking for food in the sediment formed on the bottom of the tank, then it’s time to feed them. You may be able to see your Aqua Dragons using a magnifying glass in as little as 24 hours, and you should be able to see some with the naked eye within 3-4 days. Aqua Dragons have been living in the sea and in salty lakes on the earth for millions of years including while dinosaurs roamed the Earth!

They eat, swim, fight, reproduce, lay eggs or they give birth to their babies and much more… They have a lot of different ways of behaving, you can see what they do and what it means in the diagram below:So the Aqua Dragons are real little time travellers which you can hatch and grow at home, waking them up from their hibernation. Feed your Aqua Dragons, but not too much. If there is food visible in the water, you probably don’t need to feed them. As a general guide, feeding every 2-3 days would be expected for many Aqua Dragons, and every 4-5 days for fewer. See our FAQ for more details.
