As for the torsion system present in the midfoot, it has been updated including a greater amount of Boost in the central part and the presence of rubber in the outer middle part, which will further improve the stability of the shoe. Between us, it will not affect the behavior of the race much, if not marginally: Robbe: I’m going to be honest in that I’m working through some injury stuff so didn’t get in the 20 miles on this, so take my review with a grain of salt. While subtle these tweaks have improved the transition of the shoe which wasn’t bad to begin with but now smoother with a bit of added power through toe off that it was missing before.

The ratio of firmness to cushion is still spot on and the 8 works well for daily training but didn’t leave me feeling beat up after a longer 12-16 mile run. Delivery timescales are based on working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days.A few years ago Adidas developed a long-term partnership with Continental for a sole with the best grip ever for road racing. Even with the Boston 8, not much has changed compared to the usual design, with a generous presence of rubber and the Continental writing on the front, the exposed Boost with braided rubber. All quality components. Of course those who will be able to analyze the central part of the sole will find a variation of the design:

The Boston 8 continues to use the same boost technology that runs from the heel through the midsole. Finishing the midsole off is a layer of firmer EVA that sits on top of the boost layer. Continental sole: the layout has changed slightly, especially for the Torsion system, see below for details. From what emerges from Adidas, the choice was made to allow an improvement in the grip on the ground. We applaud the choice, thinking that it was already a strength of this model. For medium runs, the shoe clearly shows the reason why it was designed. We have tried them both on repeated short and "for 4 times the turn of the death". The Boston were reactive, but not as responsive to the previous model 7. On the other hand, we were impressed by the good protection. Clearly the design of the shoe is excellent and the feeling of support and stability is a hallmark of Adidas. Long runs Then finally it was a half marathon training run, where their were steady miles completed. The good news is that there was no bad news, yes the lacing was still there, but that could be personal preference, and the shoe didn't feel as flexible but again this could be bedding in, and no doubt will feel more comfortable after putting more miles in.Height of the shoe: even if the differential has remained the same, the height from the ground has slightly increased;

Thomas: The Boston 8 is one of my top daily trainers for 2019. The ride is silky, the cushioning is protective yet responsive, the upper fits without irritation, looks good, and secures the foot at all speeds. I’d put the Boston 8 up against the Pegasus 36, Reebok RunFast Energy and the Rincon. All would be solid choices for “do it all” shoes, daily mileage, tempo runs, and racing.

What You Need To Know

After the Boston Boost 5, I tried versions 6 and 7. However, I did not like them as much as the five, due to their lower heel collar and more sluggish feel. Mom and Dad came to the scene and comforted Meg. Quietly in the distance, Meg swore she could hear the mournful notes of Taps floating through the chilly spring air. Thomas: The lacing can take a few misfires before you get it dialed in, and it isn’t the easiest set up to make adjustments. The BOOST has that cushion with a pop, but when you compare it to Skechers Hyperburst, BOOST seems heavy and dated. In this shoe, it still works but you can’t help but wonder how much better the shoe could be with a light foam that delivers the same amount of energy return as the BOOST. I enjoy running in the Boston 8 and will keep them in my rotation in the future. The shoe has a simple and race-like feel but can handle the rigors of daily training. The upper performs well but feels cheap in hand. toe space, now it's more spacious, to the point that comparing the previous model, it seems we had the wrong number;
