About this deal

The Yamaha C40 features a glossy body finish in a natural colour, giving it a stunning and elegant appearance. The gloss finish not only enhances the guitar's aesthetics but also adds a layer of protection, ensuring that your guitar stays in great condition for years to come. The natural colour showcases the beautiful wood grain of the spruce top and meranti body, giving the guitar a timeless and classic look. Versatile and reliable string selection The overall quality makes up the biggest disadvantage of the Yamaha C40 classical guitar, but for the price that you pay for this guitar, it’s what you’d expect.

I recently bought a second-hand Yamaha C40 to run it through its paces. I’ve analyzed every aspect of the instrument to reveal its strengths and weaknesses. Both CG104A's to my dismay display exactly the same fretbuzz on A and D, as the C40s im reviewing here - and are being returned. A beginner’s guitar should be the right size and easy to play. If the guitar is too hard to play, a beginner is more likely to give up.For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Yamaha have opted to include the pricier wood on this budget model, and it makes a big difference to the looks and playability. Yes, the C40 guitar does work as advertised; this is a beginner’s guitar and the C40 works exactly as any other beginner guitar does. The sound that the C40 produces lays a great foundation for future playing, as it serves as an instrument that’s sufficient enough to

If someone is looking for a richer, stronger classical guitar sound then spending a little more money is recommended. You won’t have to spend too much more to buy a guitar that has a more distinct sound.

the overall sound of the guitar when not buzzing is more than acceptable, if this guitar was manufactured to a decent finish including set up, it would be fine. C40s have a low-midrange sound, not much definition on high frets on the nylon strings, as expected.

Constructed with a spruce top and meranti body, the C40 produces a warm and balanced tone that is ideal for classical and fingerstyle playing. The rosewood bridge enhances the sustain and clarity of each note, while the gloss finish and natural colour give the guitar an elegant and timeless look. Setting the action high gives the manufacturer a greater margin for error against imperfections in the fretboard. If the action is set too low, it can cause buzzing (where the strings rattle against the frets). The C40’s dimensions are similar to other nylon string guitars in the beginner price range, with a standard 650 mm (25 9/16″) scale length. Younger or smaller players may prefer the 7/8, 3/4 or 1/2 size models, which are readily available. A relatively high action The overall construction of this guitar is good for what is considered a beginner guitar. While it is made for beginners, it is a strong guitar that can last the usual wear and tear a guitar takes over several years. The body of the nylon string guitar AEG10NII shares the same exact body as the AEG10II, which is a steel-stringed acoustic guitar. The AEG10NII has a slender feel and a very traditional look with a 2.75-inch body depth and a single cutaway. Playability is even more important than sound quality because it will take a beginner at least a year to learn how to exploit a higher-end guitar’s tone. Don’t let the price tag fool you: this is perfect for serious classical students as well as those dipping their toes into the pool of nylon string guitars. The craftsmanship is high for any affordable guitar, and is pretty spectacular for this price! Yamaha don’t know how to make bad gear, and this entry-level guitar is ample proof.
