In spite of sufficient awareness, the human beings still associate a lot of superstitions and mix it with vanity. For instance, one might have read in the friars’ book of meditation that by inflicting certain pain on oneself one can realize the true nature of pain during death. One can experience regret for the cause of others death, by doing so. Moreover, by wounding the legs severely, one could die suffering less pain. The other vital parts of the human body like heart, brain, lungs, etc. do not experience as much pain as a wounded leg can. In January 1937, at Thomas Agnew and Sons, 43 Old Bond Street, London, Bacon exhibited in a group show, Young British Painters, which included Graham Sutherland and Roy De Maistre. Eric Hall organised the show. He showed four works: Figures in a Garden (1936); Abstraction, Abstraction from the Human Form (known from magazine photographs) and Seated Figure (also lost). These paintings prefigure Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion (1944) in alternatively representing a tripod structure ( Abstraction), bared teeth ( Abstraction from the Human Form), and both being biomorphic in form. The accession of James I brought Bacon into greater favor; he was knighted in 1603, and endeavored to set himself right with the new powers by writing his Apologie (defense) of his proceedings in the case of Essex, who had favored the succession of James. In 1606 during the course of the uneventful first parliament session Bacon married Alice Barnham (1592-1650), the daughter of a well-connected London alderman and member of Parliament. The seven chapters are all based around paintings, and Bacon’s deathbed reveries – a combination of hallucinations, memories, fantasies and gripes – give Porter plenty of scope for the impressionistic bursts of writing at which he excels. Francis Bacon served as attorney general and Lord Chancellor of England, resigning amid charges of corruption. His more valuable work was philosophical. Bacon took up Aristotelian ideas, arguing for an empirical, inductive approach, known as the scientific method, which is the foundation of modern scientific inquiry. Early Life Porter’s literary project differs from Berger’s perspective in its faith that to give form to private suffering is to create a space in which it can be shared. By stepping into that space, by inhabiting a dead artist’s work and mind, he proposes that even the most private suffering is made accessible to others by art, which is to say that it is redeemed. Whether Bacon would agree is another matter.Bacon then resumed writing about science, and in 1620, published Novum Organum, presented as Part Two of The Great Saturation. In 1622, he wrote a historical work for Prince Charles, entitled The History of Henry VII. Bacon also published Historia Ventorum and Historia Vitae et Mortis that same year. In 1623, he published De Augmentis Scientarium, a continuation of his view on scientific reform. In 1624, his works The New Atlantis and Apothegms were published. Sylva Sylvarium, which was published in 1627, was among the last of his written works.
