Not that it would have changed my mind, but it wasn’t very clear that this series began with a trilogy, so that is why I am stressing it. What I liked- what a difference between the first two books and this one! First off, the writing and editing is much tighter in this book and they’ve trimmed most of the excessive material. I don’t feel like this book should have been combined with another. And Kye became likable! He is no longer concerned about power (now he’s mainly concerned about survival) and Eliana is his top priority. They are able to open up their love for each other. We finally get some heat in this book and the author keeps it pretty classy. No crude words are used during the love scenes, yet they are steamy. The couple and their friend Grier work together effectively, and you can really see evidence of their friendship. And the book was never boring. Rough Patch - The excitement and nail biting action continues in this second book of Grier and Fiona's story. Poor Grier is married to Fiona and is her baby's father but that alone does not seem to make his life in the Screaming Demons MC valuable. To the club, he is still a traitor and he makes it his mission to keep Fiona safe, find out who has been stealing from the Demons and show the club that he is not and has never been a traitor. Fiona is having a rough pregnancy and while her body craves Grier, she has a fine line to walk as she struggles to maintain the upper hand as head of the MC while balancing her love of Grier all the while trying to see if he can really be trusted. Another cliffhanger that leaves you wondering whether Fiona, her baby, Grier and the Screaming Demons will survive.

Kye is the bad boy growing up in foster care he always wanted to be part of a family. Life with the Demons MC give him brothers and a sense of family. This is a roller-coaster ride of a story. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover. It is about: two high-school sweethearts (Kye) & (Eliana aka Eli) has to sneak around but then life interfered & she becomes an attorney but one day Eli’s father passes away & she is confronted by a old love & MC rider (Kye) only to discover that her father’s debt is now hers. Rough Return is book four in the Screaming Demons MC series but Fiona and Grier's first book in this series. Fiona's father Max is ill and wants to make sure his daughter is taken care of and chooses Grier to be the one. This is a fantastic read and a great start to Fiona and Grier's love story. Heat- ☄️☄️☄️ much hotter than previous two books in the series. They make up for lost time by doing the thing like bunnies. Parts are named without resorting to crude terminology. Only one purple prose-y word is used (“Pearl”).You haven’t slept with anyone because you didn’t care about them that way. And I… well I have. I’ve been with women I didn’t care about. When they’d had their fill they wanted to be left alone. I’m not proud of it, but it’s the truth,” he said and Eliana tried to swallow her jealousy. “I’m not good at intimacy I guess. I honestly thought it would be best if I let you sleep.”
