Warhammer Community: Kill Team: The Game You’ve Been Waiting For (Saved archive, date 05/07/2018, last accessed 02/01/2022)

Eventually the burning reproductive desire of the victims begins to bear its curséd fruit, and the First Generation Hybrids are born. These creatures are twisted and deformed, their fingers ending in razorsharp claws, their heads bulbous and veiny, and often with more than the usual number of arms, characteristics that most closely resemble the original Genestealer, now styled as the cult Patriarch, ensconced in his lair. Though ordinary humans would view such offspring with revulsion, the psychic domination of the Patriarch ensures that the parents are utterly devoted to their new bundles of joy, raising them in secret to serve the will of their overlord. The First Generation Hybrids are vicious fighters but not… intellectually gifted, they are able to reproduce however, with one another and with Contagii, their children becoming the Second Generation Hybrids. These offspring are somewhat more human than their bestial forebears, although they’re still not able to hide the manifestation of their alien DNA, third arms, claws, and bulbous heads, the gang is all here. Writhing Ingress can only be used once per battle. It lets you place an Ingress token (just something that you decide is a token for that – a coin or a piece of paper, for example) next to a terrain feature like a wall or barricade. For the rest of the battle, friendly operatives can move through that terrain feature at the point of the token as if the terrain feature wasn’t there. Crossfire Another fantastic ploy that can be used to grant a Neophyte or Locus a free charge action against an enemy operative that is within 3 inches, if that enemy operative has targeted either a CULT AGENT or LEADER for combat. This one has a lot of uses that should be obvious, and does a lot to encourage you to keep certain operatives near one another. Keep in mind that it is not an additional charge action, so if you already charged with your Locus during the Turning Point he won’t be able to use this ploy. It can be an excellent way to counter an opponent by simply moving your Locus near an on-going combat, or simply a way to sacrifice less important operatives to keep valuable ones alive. A Hiding A NEOPHYTE HYBRID fire team includes seven NEOPHYTE HYBRID operatives selected from the following list:Units like Deathwing Terminators can also be exactly the right kind of problem for Cults, and while the lists with 40+ of them will have other issues in the wider meta, they’re something you have to respect. From there what you’ll actually take into your missions will depend on what you need. I really like the idea of having the Kelermorph running around up front with support from the Locus, so I tend to think about bringing the following to most games: Three of his brother Primarchs – Sanguinius , Rogal Dorn , and Jaghatai Khan – opposed Horus with their Legions, standing in defence of the Emperor’s Palace alongside hundreds of Titans and countless billions of Imperial soldiers. You’ll pretty much always want to have Target Vulnerability up, since the prospect of scoring 3 mortal wounds on each 5+ is just too good to pass up, but Soulsight is also a big boost if you don’t want to move to get sight on a target. Both are solid. I grabbed a few models, some new (see above), and some old (see below) to make the individual Fire Teams clearly different. To add a little variety I found a ‘Stealer with Feeder Tendrils… he was different enough to be my Leader.

Durability – Most of your operatives have a 5+ save and 7 wounds. Your heavier hitters have a 4+ invulnerable and 9 wounds. That’s not a lot, but you do have some good tools for protecting your cult agents, such as the Preternatural Assassin and Unquestioning Loyalty rules.

If your kill team does not include any other LEADER operatives, instead of selecting one TYRANID WARRIOR FIGHTER operative for one TYRANID WARRIOR fire team, you can select one TYRANID WARRIOR LEADER operative equipped with one option from each of the following:
