Description

The archetype's main lower-level support monsters are all Level 1 LIGHT Tuner monsters, and can be divided into two types: the with Eyes of Blue Spellcasters, and the "White Stone" Dragons (" The White Stone of Ancients" and " The White Stone of Legend"). The "with Eyes of Blue" monsters focus on searching and interacting with Level 1 LIGHT Tuners and Special Summoning "Blue-Eyes" monsters, making them consistency boosters for both the archetype's low-level monsters and boss monsters. The "White Stone" monsters meanwhile can search out "Blue-Eyes" monsters if sent to the GY, and are commonly sent to GY by milling or discarding costs/effects from other cards. Their status as Level 1 Tuners lets them easily make archetypal and non-archetypal Level 9 Synchro boss monsters if summoned alongside a Level 8 "Blue-Eyes" monster. The jet was also shown in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light when Kaiba had to go meet Maximillion Pegasus on his own private island in seeking a way to finally defeat Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi. D.'s 2nd effect lets you discard a card that lists Blue-Eyes White Dragon in its text to special summon a Blue-Eyes monster from your GY. This effect is great for reviving any of your Blue-Eyes monsters including Fusions and Synchros if applicable. You can also use this effect to discard and revive Jet and Abyss Dragon since D.'s 1st effect will provide a Blue-Eyes in the GY. Since most Blue-Eyes monsters are LIGHT-Attribute, DARK-Attribute or Fiend-Type monsters can in-general, negatively affect LIGHT monsters, and to the worst extent, the anti-LIGHT " Ally of Justice". " Light-Imprisoning Mirror" can be devastating to "Blue-Eyes" monsters by negating their effects. Cards like " Leeching the Light" and " Sword of Dragon's Soul" (due to the "Blue-Eyes"s' monster Type of Dragon) can destroy even your strongest monsters. Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" is a Ritual Monster that cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects and can wipe out your opponent in a single display of doubled-piercing chaotic white lightning.

The effect to special summon itself provides huge value to this monster. You do not need to tribute monsters or pay a cost for Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon. You are not losing any resources to play this monster, and you may continue to use your current resources on the field. Fourth Effect:

Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon requires a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in your graveyard or on your field to activate its third and fourth effects. The setup for the card will require a few resources from the duel, and the conditions will be set after a few turns during a game. It is a secondary monster due to the time of this effect. The Melody of Awakening Dragon" can search " Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon", off of the Spell Card's Discard effect as can " Dragon Shrine/ Ravine", so that the Graveyard can be loaded with "Blue-Eyes" Monsters to be revived by " Silver's Cry" and " Return of the Dragon Lords". Shining Victories includes a new monster, " Dragon Spirit of White", who has the ability to banish an opponent's Spell or Trap Card whenever it is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned. It is also treated as a Normal Monster while in the hand or Graveyard, granting it synergy with cards like " Ancient Rules" and " Silver's Cry". The card attributes that surround "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (Level 8, LIGHT, Dragon, Normal Monster) gives it a large amount of external support. Examples include " Trade-In", " The Melody of Awakening Dragon", " Dragon Shrine", " Dragon Ravine", " Silver's Cry", and " Return of the Dragon Lords". Though the archetype has no archetypal Xyz boss monsters, the archetype's ability to swarm Level 8 monsters enables easy Xyz Summons of powerful Rank 8 monsters, such as " Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy".

After the " Dragon Rulers" were restricted to one, but Soul Charge was still at three, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and " The White Stone of Legend" were used as a Draw combo with " Cards of Consonance" and " Trade-In", and were used to Draw the four " Dragon Rulers", known unofficially as the "Dragon Draw" engine or "Egg Turbo" build. Jet's 1st effect activates if a card(s) on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect and lets you special summon it from the hand or GY. This effect is great over the course of a long game since you'll be able to get a lot of value out of it. Since Blue-Eyes is great at destroying stuff, you'll have no problem triggering this time and time again. Usually, these type of effects come with a clause where the monster will be banished if it leaves the field. But, fortunately for us, it seems like Kaiba paid off the creators to skip that part for an infinitely recurring Dragon.

It also appeared in The Dark Side of Dimensions. In the movie, Kaiba used it to travel to the Shrine of the Millennium Stone to recover the Millennium Puzzle pieces. After Mokuba left with the pieces of the puzzle, Kaiba left Kul Elna onboard the jet. Konami loves creating new cards with good effects for Blue-Eyes. Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon has a large library of support. This effect monster is a perfect fit in the archetype and its current support.Apparition's 2nd effect lets you bounce a monster you control to summon a monster from your hand. If you bounced Blue-Eyes White Dragon, you can summon any monster from your hand. If you bounced anything else, you can only summon a Blue-Eyes monster from your hand. This effect synergizes with Apparition's 1st effect and is good for getting on the board. You can also use this effect to cycle your normal summons like Sage with Eyes of Blue. A cheap way to protect your Dragons from targeted card effects would be to bring out Lord of D. This lets you access support like The Flute of Awakening Dragon that can Special Summon up to 2 Dragon-type monsters from your hand, and King Dragun which can provide protection and Special Summon abilities in one card. Other cards you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. You can only use each of the following effects of “Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon” once per turn, and can only activate them while “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” is on your field or in your GY. If a card(s) on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your GY (if it was there when the card was destroyed) or hand (even if not). At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; return it to the hand. If the opponent has a monster on the field, activate Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon to destroy a monster the opponent controls. Jet's 2nd effect is a continuous effect which protects your other cards from destruction by your opponent's card effects. This is great against cards with mass destruction like Lightning Storm, Twin Twisters, and Raigeki. Just note that this doesn't protect your cards from your own effects.
