About this deal

this is among the most dramatic fragrances I own , and despite the fact that most of fragrance community consider this is as a (By the fire place clown ) I think it has it's own character and there is a lot going on and is far from being linear. Okay, so although I really like the fragrance it’s not something I could personally wear on a day to day I feel this Leans a little more masculine then I would usually be comfortable wearing as the oud is definitely very prominent. Not to say I won’t be wearing this because I absolutely will! I think my partner would get a lot more wear out of this and be able to pull it off better than me. Wore it for 2 days and I was angrily underwhelmed and I thought I had a copy , fake or just a bad bottle 6 sprays nothing just some mild woods

I would say it's more of a men's fragrance because of the woodiness, but it's very sweet, and considering the nature of this sort of oriental fragrances, it could very well be pulled off by a woman. Yes, when it arrived and I did my blind buy first spray - I was turned off and told my boyfriend I'm giving it to him. My only other oud perfumes are Gucci Intense Oud and Versace Oud Noir. I love them both with Gucci being my favourite. I would say both of them are several times better in every way, reflecting the several times higher price. Still though I enjoy the Ameer and shall definitely wear it. Seems reasonably strong but not crazily loud or in your face.Despite my skin Ameer Al Oudh Intense oud lasted until the next day on my hand (with the last few hours obviously a skin scent), and can STILL be scented on my sweater; it has been over a week now. I often wear that sweater in the evening over pj's when I'm getting cold, but I had to remove it from my bedroom so that it wouldn't constantly smell like Intense oud in here. That was the case for the first 3 to 4 days. I sprayed 2.5 times on the same spot (the 1st hit on the atomiser my finger slipped, so it was a sputter: 0.5).

It's scent is Middle Eastern incense and spices. This has a large projection and if you walk into a room wearing it people are going to start looking around wondering if someone is burning incense. I love Khamrah, but it gets annoying after a while; opens so nice but eventually gets too powdery and feminine on my skin. These are different, although there are similarities with oud, vanilla & woods. However, Aoud Vanille is more complex and has stronger performance, with an oud-ier presence up front.A lad in my pool team asked me what I was wearing as he liked it, next week he came in wearing it, or at least I thought. He'd bought this stuff. Not quite as smoky as By The Fireplace, and much sweeter, has a real golden syrup vibe to it. The opening is spicier too, then it dries down to the BTF scent. I debated buying this for months. MANY months. Why was I so hesitant? Because of the gender poll here saying its more masculine than feminine. Well, I don't agree. 100% unisex. The glass bottle is solid. Mine showed "shelf wear" from rubbing around inside the box, or it just wasn't finished to perfection in the factory. The cap is curious... just a press-fit (no snap) of nicely clear lexan/plexiglass with three faux gems installed on the top. It's actually a decent looking bottle.
