The Deal was another one of those unexpected reads. Unexpected because despite its simple plot, this book succeeded in taking over my heart and my mind. Always a good sign for a reader.

It is so cute watching the guy who everyone swooned over know what it was like to have the shoe on the other foot. They start and unlikely friendship, in pursuit of helping her land another guys attention. Until that friendship develops into something more. I have to say, this is the first time a girl’s been worried about getting caught in my bedroom. Normally they strut out like they’ve just bagged Brad Pitt. I really like the love story between Hanna & Garrett! I love that Hanna at first has her eyes set on someone else and that Garrett isn't interested in having anything serious with anyone, but in the end the two end up completely in love with each other after hours of tutoring sesisons, the trust they develop in each other, and especially, after seeing how compatible they are despite their differences. These two are a VERY funny couple, with absurd fights that made me really enjoy their story, super tender, sweet & heartbreaking moments and truly unconditional love.

For the millionth time in forty-five minutes, I sneak a peek in Justin Kohl’s direction, and he’s so beautiful it makes my throat close up. Though I should probably come up with another adjective—my male friends insist that men don’t like being called beautiful.

Two,” I reply cheerfully.. “I kiss each one of my biceps and then point to the ceiling and thank the big man upstairs for creating such a perfect male specimen.” Why did Garret have to write a paper on philosophers who justified what happened in Nazi Germany? Why did you let your character say: "I finally got this Nazi thing down" when he finally aced his homework? Garrett’s father tells Garrett he expects him to come over for Thanksgiving. Garrett brings Hannah, since they’re officially together now, and they meet Phil’s girlfriend. He’s clearly abusing her too. Garrett leaves after an angry conversation with his father. Which means I have not had ANY caffeine in my system for over 24 hours for the first time since junior high school. One of the guys who testified in defence of Hannah’s rapist bumps into Hannah. Garrett beats him up and gets suspended for a game.

Characters Development: I loved, LOVED Garret. He was sweet, and sexy and completely honest. He had no problem in saying what he needed and making his intentions clear. A great hero. Hannah was pretty good as well, I loved how she wasn’t an whinny and insecure heroine (and she had reason to, believe me), but instead she was sassy and went after what she wanted, I really liked her. Their friends (of both of them) were awesome, I can’t wait to read their books. Especially Logan’s.It's true guys. After reading Dean and Logan's stories, I kept wondering why on God's green Earth I wasn't as excited about The Deal as the rest of the world, why I thought it was just an average read and not a great NA romance so I decided to give it a second chance (yes yes I was supposed to be studying you don't have to remind me of that jeez). And I am glad I did. Because now I see. I see the light, I hear the birds sing, I smell the flowers, I feel the butterflies thumping in my stomach. And that's Garrett and Hannah's work.
