Apply a small amount of Tan Enhancing Body Moisturiser to hands, elbows, knees and feet and any other dry patches – this will ensure the tan doesn’t over develop. For an even, streak free tan, we always recommend using a St.Tropez Tan Applicator Mitt, which is lined and waterproof to prevent the palms of your hands getting stained. Everyone’s skin naturally exfoliates at a different rate, but depending on the product you use, your tan will last anything between 4—10 days, with good preparation and maintenance this could be considerably longer. To ensure your tan looks great for as long as possible use St.Tropez Tan Remover Mousse to remove all your dead skin cells, old tan and to rebalance your skin prior to application. Following application keep the skin hydrated with daily application of St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Moisturiser. For perfect fade exfoliate every 2—3 days. Are your products vegan friendly? Whilst there is nothing in the products that would be harmful to children, we don’t promote self tan products to children. For our professional spray tans we have clear safety guidelines that our St.Tropez approved salons are trained to follow: we would not advise children have a spray tan but if parental permission has been given, then a parent/guardian must be present during the tan. We do have Instant Tan at-home, cosmetic products which are designed to be washed off that you may deem to be more suitable.For an ultra-even, streak-free fake tan, always ensure you’re working with a clean canvas. Remove any old tan build up with our Remover Mitt and Tan Remover Mousse. Always exfoliate and remove any unwanted body hair 24 hours before tanning to ensure pores are closed. Make sure your skin is free from any moisturiser, perfume, deodorant and essential oils just before your tan application. Before using the St.Tropez face mist, simply follow through with your regular skincare routine (cleanse, tone, moisturize – you know the drill). We also recommend exfoliating the skin with a gentle, oil-free face scrub once a week, for a smooth, flawless finish. HOW DO YOU CARRY OUT A PATCH/SKIN TEST? St.Tropez Gradual Tan contains less tanning agent than Self Tan, providing a light sunkissed glow. It does not contain a tinted guide colour which is ideal for discreet tanning every day and should still be left on the skin to develop over time (although you will see results from 4 to 12 hours). This product range is ideal for those who wish for a light tan or to build up their depth of colour. Gradual Tan can be applied daily or every other day to build greater depth of colour, but it will not develop as dark as a Self Tan product. A tan can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars. Apply a St.Tropez Self Tan product to the area with a cotton bud. Leave for at least 8 hours and then wash away the guide colour, then apply your all-over tan as normal. If the tan is not dark enough, repeat approximately every 8 hours until satisfied.
