There is at least one dragon Skylander in every element, four of which are hybrids between dragons and another species (Whirlwind, Sunburn, Camo, and High Five). The Skylanders who are associated with the Undead element are mostly creatures who hail from the Underworld such as skeletons or ghouls and living creatures who have been corrupted by the element. They use the power of the undead and spooky magic, as well as some abilities relating to poison and contagion, to aid them in battle. When forming a bridge to access their Elemental Gates, Undead Skylanders create a bridge that are formed from the bones of their fallen enemies. He also frequently uses Eye puns in his lines. In the Alpha version of Skylanders: Giants, Eye-Brawl's iris was red, and his eye minions crawled on spiderlike legs rather than bouncing around. [4] The modern-day Core Skylanders were previously led by the veteran Portal Master, Master Eon, until The Darkness returned one day. Seeing the incoming threat, Eon called the Skylanders, including Spyro the Dragon, to prepare for battle as the evil Portal Master, Kaos, returned from his exile to once again attempt to destroy the Core of Light and rule Skylands as its emperor. By Eon's command, the Skylanders fought valiantly against Kaos's dark forces, but as they were winning the struggle, Kaos released his Hydra, who successfully destroyed the Core of Light in a devastating blast.

Swarm is one of the Skylanders who appear to be based upon insects (others being Dune Bug and High Five). Bouncer is voiced by Bumper Robinson, who also voices Bumblebee and Blitzwing in Transformers Animated, Rook Blonko and Bloxx in Ben 10: Omniverse and Falcon in "Avengers Assemble". Now having enough Rift Engines to stop Kaos and his latest plan, the Skylanders invited Dive-Clops and the SuperChargers to become Skylanders, to which they eagerly accepted.

Having 8,999 other insect siblings makes it hard to wrap presents and write birthday cards for each of them everyday. But on the bright side, on Swarm's birthday, he gets a whole pile of presents and cards.
