About this deal

I've always liked the smell of Le Male on others, but there was always something about it that kept me from wearing it, something sharp and green (maybe the mint, but it didn't seem like mint). So when I first smelled this I dismissed it as a copy and assumed that I wouldn't like it. The opening is a burst of spicy freshness which is very appealing and noticeable. The combination of juniper and ginger is well done. As it begins to settle in, the next 30-45 minutes are it’s finest moments. That lavender seeping in combined with the spiciness is just killer the way it’s done. The strange thing is that even though I'm not totally in love with this, I find myself reaching for it more than just about anything else. It's just so pleasant and easy to wear that it's become my dumb-reach for the cooler weather, as the original is for the warmer weather. This gets compared to JPG Le Male and this is probably due to the notes. The scents however are very far apart. This comparison, together with the Reflection Man and Le Male comparison truly baffles me. People read something, instantly believe it and blabber it on, creating a myth. Fragrances should be tested side by side. They should not be judged by notes.

PRADA LUNA ROSSA SPORT was created by perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier who created numerous Prada editions, fragrances of the La Gemme collection by Bvlgari as well as the latest tea fragrance Eau Parfumee au The Bleu, fragrances by Marni, Bottega Veneta, etc. The perfume opens with tart-citrusy ginger blended with aromatic flavors of juniper berries. The heart of the fragrance is enriched with lavender, while the base is warmed with vanilla and tonka. To my nose it is Le Male to all the individual that posted here, but I prefer this to Le Male it has the Le Male DNAWhen I tried it again a couple months ago I realized that it was more than just a copy. While it's similar, this one is smoother and more balanced, a little bit better suited to younger people. I'm completely comfortable wearing this day or night, though I probably won't be wearing it much in the summer.

Still each to his or her own I suppose and if you're spraying this on your body then your nose is the only nose that matters, unless you're only after compliments from others of course. Being different by smelling odd or even unappealing does not mean it's good or that people will find you mysterious or enigmatic, they will simply think you smell weird or odd and assume you are nose blind and don't realise you smell strange. Initially, I wasn't too impressed by the performance of the fragrance, but believe me, you can become blind to the fragrance and it's still there. I get 7-8 hours in longevity. Not as The soapy lavender is subtly, sophisticated, and mature with a strong touch of masculinity. Great as a day scent, out of the shower because it's not overpowering in any way, and good for an office/work environment. You can wear this as an all-year rounder, but personally not in the summer. If so, go easy on the sprays. In terms of performance I use 8 sprays and I would say projection is about 1-1.5 hours while longevity is no more than 6-7 hours. I really like this, it's fresh yet fairly sophisticated , fairly soft and not harsh or too youthful.

It has a smoothness and magnetism that will get others attention. Once it has completed its passage from beginning to end, the vanilla is intense. If you are not a fan of powdery vanilla, it might be a bit much. All in all, it’s a compliment getter that can be worn in just about any season and most occasions. I would even wear it to the office, but with just a couple of sprays. It’s not offensive or cloying, but a little will go a long way in that type of environment. It’s got great staying power, as good as any. Disregard claims that it doesn’t last…must have gone “nose-blind”.

In Le Male the vanilla is very prominent, which makes the fragrance very sweet and more suited for the fall/winter. In PLRS the lavender is the main note to my nose. Luna Rossa Sport also smells very spicy, even though ginger is the only spice listed. I dont own this, but I do own an older formulation of the original Luna Rossa. Ive only smelled this on another person, a complete stranger. Copier repairman actually had this on in our office and I could smell this wonderful, familiar scent filling one corner of our small office. Walked to the corridor to see a repair guy pleasantly smelling up the place. He has repaired our crappy copier many times and always wears this scent. as a man I had to casually ask him in my contrived macho voice what he was wearing. After revealing luna rossa sport I immediately drew the comparison to the original Luna Rossa but fresher, lighter, a slight twist, but just as aromatic. Recently I been into layering fragrances and I use this one as a vanilla base for other fragrances. Say example I hate the smell of Cool water Intense due to coconut smell as it reminds me of grocery shop so tried mixing these both in a decant and its was good. Now I get Cool Water with Vanilla and hint of lavender. ;) So Le Male is more of a sweet, smooth warm fragrance, where LRS is more a more soapy, spicy, masculin and grown up. The differences are huge.LM comes across as a younger, louder clubbing fragrance, for the younger user but LR Sport to me is more mature and refined with lots to offer and nothing to prove. In short this is very simple and linear soapy fragrance that is only suitable for settings that you would not like to offend anyone. For 2 months of heavy daily usage I have received no compliments, so do not necessarily trust those who say this is a panty dropper. It is not. This does not mean you will not smell good - it is just a very safe clean scent that would not make a lasting impression. UPDATE: The more I wear this fragrance, the more I love it. The soapy Lavender is a work of art and I love wearing it after a shower at night. Prada produces the best soapy smelling fragrances on the market. I use to like it, now I love it. When it comes to age factor I believe this will be best suited for 26+ as its not that playful like Eros, AHSEE, etc. But age is just a number if you love it then who cares. I'm not pretending to understand all the notes or if they share similarities in that department but they simply smell nothing like each other...at all.

If I were to describe it to a friend in one sentence it would go as follows: It is a clean, sweet, powdery scent that is masculine enough. Oh and another thing, if something is 'mass apealing' or a 'crowd pleaser' then may I suggest that is a good thing? It's mass appealing because it appeals to a lot of people...because it smells nice....and that's bad because........?Longevity: 9/10 (After the initial two hours, it comes closer to the skin for another three hours. Stays a skin-scent for a good five more hours)
