About this deal

I have found the airflow to be slightly more open on this version. On the older versions I had it fully open. Whereas now I am actually adjusting it. I found about 2/3 open was equivalent to the fully open on the other versions. This is perfectly happy with my 6mg Nic salt 50/50 e-liquid but is not quite as smooth as the 0.8ohm coil. I found I used this at the lowest power setting (18W) as it really felt warm and harsh on the higher power settings. In comparison to the Caliburn G coils, the Xlim C coils provide a more consistent flavour in the long term and they last longer overall by a long shot (by several days to a week). When using the Caliburn G coils, the flavour is extra strong for about 2 days before the taste begins to drop off—whereas with the Xlim C coils, the flavour doesn’t start out as strong, but stays consistent through the entire life of the coil. We highly recommend using an external battery charger for 18650 battery mods, as it helps with balanced charging and prolongs the life of the battery and mod, such as from worn out microUSB port. Never use damaged or improperly wrapped batteries with this device. We recommend all 18650/20700/21700 battery mods to use matching batteries with similar brand, model, and battery state at all times. After a couple days of use with the .6 ohm coil, I went ahead and switched out to the .8 ohm coil with the same RY4 cream liquid that I used with the first coil. I use other pods with .8 ohm coils/pods so had a feeling this one was going to be a better fit for me. I closed down the airflow so just two holes were open and it was a good fit for me. I tried it in all three power levels and could honestly use this coil in any of the three and be happy with it. The change in power levels is noticeable but not drastic. Both coils produced good flavor and a fair amount of vapor for a pod device. I just needed a little more air for the .6 ohm coil. The battery portion of the Xlim C has a single button on the front with an X on it that illuminates when firing or charging the unit. Near the bottom of that same side is the Oxva logo. The single button has a few different features. When you take a puff it illuminates to show the battery level in green, blue, or red. The button operation is as follows. Most of it is similar to the previous versions with a side fill port with a lift up silicone cover. There is even a little indent to allow you to get your thumbnail under the cover with ease. As mentioned above this time you can change the coils – there are 3 different coils available 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm. You get the 0.6 and 0.8ohm included in the kit.

It is also super simple to use, the coil changing and filling is easy peasy so I would recommend this kit to a new vaper any day. With the 0.8ohm coil I got between 6-8 hours of heavy vaping on the highest power level. This equates to around 5 pod fills. When it comes to the pods, I definitely prefer the top-fill system of the Caliburn devices, as the side/bottom-fill on the Xlim C pods is fiddly and not as accessible. Still, the Xlim C pods have a really nice, ergonomic shape overall and I haven’t experienced a single drop of leakage yet—something once considered inevitable when vaping a pod kit. There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. This is where a big change has happened – you can remove and replace the coils – which for me is excellent as it saves waste (you discard the coil instead of the whole pod). Xlim pods – L-R: V2 fixed coil pod, Xlim C removable coil pod Sadly this does not have a puff counter like the first version but I have refilled 9 times and the flavour is still spot on! OXVA Xlim C 0.6ohm Coil The battery life is indicated on the LED light surrounding the button, with three different colours; red (<30%), blue (30-65%) and green (65-100%). Flavour test
