About this deal

Here are some of the key ingredients found in Nioxin products and links to studies that support their potential benefits for hair and scalp health: In a review published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, dermatologists noted that Nioxin products can be helpful for people with thinning hair or hair loss, particularly when used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes other interventions such as medication or hair transplantation.

Overall, Nioxin’s unique features, such as its scalp-focused approach, customized systems, scientifically proven ingredients, and multi-step approach, make it a popular choice for individuals looking to improve the health and appearance of their hair and scalp. How to Use NioxinMulti-step approach: Nioxin’s systems are designed to be used in a multi-step approach, with a shampoo, conditioner, and treatment all working together to improve the health of the scalp and promote healthier-looking hair. This multi-step approach can be particularly beneficial for individuals with thinning hair or hair loss, as it allows for a more comprehensive approach to hair care. However, those with less extensive hair thinning might see great results by using just a few of the hair products from system 1, 3 or 5. They last for a long time, too. 2. It’s extensive Panthenol: Panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, is a humectant that helps to improve the moisture content of the hair and scalp. According to a study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science, topical application of panthenol can improve hair strength and reduce hair breakage. Hi Brian, thank you for getting in touch and for sharing your story. And I’m so sorry to hear about your recent hair loss, also that you’re not experiencing much success with Nioxin. However, if you haven’t started seeing more shedding (after the first 2 weeks), I’d take that as a good sign. The fact that your hair is growing longer and stronger, that’s a good sign too. (Because it’s when it stops growing, it becomes brittle and more prone to snapping, ie more likely to fall out.) This growth also indicates that you’re in the anagen phase of your hair-growth cycle, which is good too. In a study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, researchers found that a scalp treatment containing niacin, caffeine, and other ingredients (similar to those found in some Nioxin products) improved hair density and reduced hair shedding in men and women with androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness).Again, thanks so much for your really lovely words. It’s encouragement like this that keeps me feeling more confident and positive as of course, there are down days, too! 🙂

Hi Estefania, I’m so sorry to hear about your recent, and sudden, hair loss. Unfortunately, I don’t have a simple answer or solution for your as alopecia is such a complex thing. Perhaps you haven’t changed your hair treatment plan but has anything else in your life changed that might have triggered this sudden loss? As it can often be triggered by hormonal imbalances, times of stress or trauma (the effects of which can be delayed for months, even years, thereafter) or changes in your lifestyle/environment. Even something like changes in the water you use to shower, or taking up exercise that might be too physically demanding (to reduce stress/inflammation in the body, slower forms like yoga are recommended, as opposed to high-intensity stuff). I’d also have a look at this post I wrote with nutritional information/advice, perhaps it might be of help?My recommendation is, if you’re not noticing any adverse effects, to continue use for the recommended 6 months. On the nights when you don’t use the products, you could try a gentle combination like Pura D’Or. And try rubbing in coconut oil with a few drops of peppermint essential oil in (leaving it in as an overnight hair mask) once or twice a week if you can. Or if you want to stop using Nioxin, try these methods anyway to maintain the overall health of your scalp. Have a look at this post on nutrition tips, too, if that’s of any help. I’m 6 weeks into the AIP diet I mentioned and, combined with using Nioxin 3 times a week and a variety of supplements, I’m experiencing regrowth in patches that haven’t seen fuzz for years! Note: I include some other products in this review, purely because I supplemented my shampoo with a conditioner and a scalp and hair treatment. Plus some more items within the Nioxin 3D Intensive Care range. (I went all out!)
