Ramadan: A Dua a Day

From this hadith it becomes evident that being in the state of anger is being under the influence of Satan. Therefore, when it comes to avoiding Satan or controlling his induced temptations, there is no better refuge than Allah Almighty. Hence, whenever in anger, a Muslim must recite this Dua and seek the help of Allah Almighty.

Today let’s make a special dua for the families of the 3 young men sadly killed in the rioting that occurred in Birmingham, UK recently. May Allah grant them Jannah and give their families the patience to deal with this loss. Ameen. Today let’s make a dua for people who are trying to find their life partners. May Allah help those brothers and sisters who are looking to get married and fulfil an important part of their Sunnah. May Allah help them find true love and real friendship in their prospective partners. May Allah reward their good intentions. Yes it can be difficult finding that right person but we all know whatever Allah has planned is the best for us. Some things can simply take time. Allah is the best planner. Let’s have faith. Ameen!

In the Name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah.

Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims.” I know you are there Allah. I know you see my tears. I know you hear my prayers. I know you are testing me. And all I ask from you is to strengthen my Imaan so I can handle the struggles in life and have patience. I love you my Lord. My Allah. Please keep me safe. Ameen. Alhamdulillah, you can call upon Allah at any time. You can make du'a as soon as you wake up or as you are falling asleep, in public or in private, as a deliberate decision or an instinctive reaction to difficulty. You can also make du'a in any language and for any want or need (as long as you are not asking for something sinful or wishing harm on others).

However, there is a beautiful etiquette (adab) to making du'a which will mentally and spiritually prepare you for this significant worship, in sha Allah. 1: Perform wudu Our attitude towards du'a should be filled with sincerity, confidence, trust in Allah and patience in awaiting His answer, and good deeds elevate our du'as. The essence of both of these Duas is of thanking Allah Almighty for all the Mercy and Blessings He has bestowed upon Muslims in the form of meal. I believe there is None worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is his Servant & Messenger.Due to all the competition and hard struggle during the day, it is quite natural that people become stressed. It is this stress that sometimes takes the shape of anger while in other times it causes depression, both of which are not favorable, hence it is imperative that a Muslim keeps control when under stress of pressure. Pertaining to facing any discomfort or being unhappy about something, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite the following Dua: لآَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيْمُ لآَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْم Gardet, L. Allah sometimes gives and sometimes takes. He is sometimes pleased and sometimes displeased with our deeds. Whether a thing is beneficial or harmful to me, I will remain firm in my belief and remain thankful to my Creator. AmeenOur Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
