About this deal

Century Pro manufacture four main grades of cue tips. They are the G1 (soft), G2 (medium), G3 (medium hard) and G4 (hard). There is additionally a custom G5 super hard tip. The usage of these tips depends on the preference of the individual as each of them have their pros and cons based on the kind of shot you are playing. Approximately 70/80% of players currently on the professional WPBSA snooker tour now use Century Pro Cue Tips!

If you want to be able to impart spin on the cue ball more easily, go for a tip around 9.5mm. However, if you want a tip a little more forgiving if you struggle to cue perfectly straight, choose something around 10mm. The downside is that, when exposed to high moisture environments, the tips will deteriorate faster. CC Pro-X features a specially developed adhesive by the CC team. After rigorous durability and stress testing by numerous professional players, this adhesive effectively reduces layer separation issues, extending the cue tip’s lifespan. Ronnie O’Sullivan has said before that he uses Elk Master cue tips, the same brand that we recommend as the best snooker cue tip. G4 Century Pro Snooker Cue Tips – Snooker Crazy is please to announce the arrival of Century Pro Snooker Cue Tips to our range of snooker cue tips.We found that with other harder tips, the chalk takes longer for it to grip and it’s the same with the G5. Century Pro Snooker Cue Tips ensure that when you change to one of these tips you get maximum play-ability, consistency or hardness and a great grip on every shot. When you need to change a tip you can relax in with confidence as you just need to choose the same grade again and you get the same characteristics as the last. These tips, like the Regency, when trimmed, don’t end up in an odd shape, as some tips SnookerZone has tried can end up in an odd shape, but the Elk Pros, the Adr calf-skin tip, and the Regencies keep their shape very well when trimmed down! You’d be surprised at how a tip can go into an odd shape when shaved! The best snooker cue tip for you will depend on a number of factors, not least your budget, style of play, and the level you’re competing at. Century Pro Snooker Cue Tips are made from a premium quality grade A+ leather that has been pressed from a single layer. It’s taken a long time in the testing process to match this premium leather with the best pressing process and testing to ensure that optimum consistency in the finished product. The Tip

Well, because of the testing system and individual focus, each tip can then beeasily matched to one of the four Century Cue Tip grades. However, we tried and used both Russian Magic chalk and Master chalk and found that Master held on a G5 slightly better than Russian Magic (surprisingly). 2018 World Champion Mark Williams personally requested a G5 to suit his game… A larger cue tip has more surface area and is more forgiving of bad cueing, but it will be more difficult to add spin to the cue ball. How often do snooker players change their cue tips? Kamui tips have grown in popularity over the last few years and are known to be used by professional players such as John Higgins and Stephen Maguire.

Well, all those problems are a thing of the past when you fit Century Pro Snooker Cue Tips. How is this achieved?

Following on from R/D we have carried out with The University Of Sheffield. We have discovered that applying too much chalk reduces friction. So we advise to only apply very light amounts to your tip every two to three shots to gain maximum cue ball grip as well as keeping the table clean. The choice of materials significantly impacts the performance, stability, and longevity of the final cue tip. We meticulously select portions of leather based on authenticity, uniformity, softness, hardness, and durability to create the optimal composition for crafting multi-layer cue tips. The Century Cues, Tip Shaper. This is by far the best tip shaper I have ever used. It’s very well constructed, easy to use and works the tip perfectly. The tip shaper comes in its own little pouch, to keep it well protected and prevents any scratches on your cue, while in your case. I have fitted a lot of tips for other players over the past five months and the shaper makes edging and shaping, easy. Plus, it does not show any signs of wear and tear, due to it’s robust construction? Century Cues have produced another quality product. That’s the thing with tips. You can either love them instantly or have to develop that all-important love relationship over time. When you last bought a new snooker cue, there’s a decent chance the tip on it was an Elk Master. Well-known in the game, many cue makers choose to add Elk Master (or just ‘Elks’ as they’re often referred to) tips to their cues. How often a snooker player changes their cue tip depends on a number of factors, the type and quality of tip they use, how often they play, and how much they play so-called ‘power shots’. Choosing the best snooker cue tips isn’t always an easy task. It’s often a case of trial and error but we hope this guide has helped point you in the right direction.

While it’s certainly possible to play snooker with a 8mm tip, most people would find it is too small and their game suffers as a result.

CC BRAND AMBASSADORS

The base of the tip must be perfectly flat before gluing to the ferrule. To achieve this use 800 grit paper (Wet & Dry, paper always dry). Place the 800 grit paper onto a perfectly flat surface. Take the tip, remove the grade label and rub onto the paper in a figure of 8 until the fibres are exposed but look sealed and smooth. Remove dust from bottom of tip. The tip is now ready to be fitted to the ferrule. N.B. Never score or cut the bottom of the tip with a Stanley knife. The base must be perfectly flat and smooth.
