Description

Measuring the volume of a flower pot is done by multiplying the radius squared by pi and the height, then dividing that number by 281. First, measure the radius of the pot in inches or centimeters, depending on which unit you prefer. Multiply this number by itself to square it, then multiply that number again by pi (3.14).

At crocus, we have over 30 different sizes of pots that plants and trees are grown in. Here is a simple guide to the different options (and some nice pics of Mike our webmeister). Dimensions: 9cm diameter top and 7cm depth. Capacity: 0.29 litres. Recommendeduse: For pot bedding and young plants. Measuring the volume of a pot requires the same basic formula, but can involve more steps depending on the shape of the container. To measure the volume of a cylindrical pot, for example, use a ruler to measure its diameter and height, then use this formula: Volume = pi x radius² x height. However, don’t forget that not all pots come in one standard size; some are made to suit specific types of plants, so be sure to consider this when deciding on a pot for your plant! What is the volume of a 4 liter pot? A 5L is Ideal for the production of bigger shrubs with a larger root capacity, these can be seen across our nursery but generally found within our garden centre sales.

To calculate rectangular pots, treat them like a box and determine the total volume by multiplying the length of each side. Generally speaking, pot sizes are sold in increments ranging from 0.5 gallons up to 25 gallons or more, depending on what you’re looking for and how big your desired plant is likely to grow. If a plant’s pot is too small, its root system will become overwhelmed and eventually become bound, leading to stunted growth as well as other problems such as nutrient deficiencies and root rot.

Dimensions: 44cm diameter top, 31.8cm diameter base and 37cm depth. Internal top diameter 40cm. Capacity: 35 litres.Depending on your budget, and the effect or purpose you have in mind for particular plants, the various pot sizes offer their own benefits. The size of pot the plant is in always matches its requirements, particularly in terms of root space. So, naturally, bigger plants are delivered in bigger pots! We offer a range of ‘feature size’ plants in 5-litre pots. These bigger plants are fantastic for providing immediate high impact colour in your garden, or placed in a pot on the patio as an instant feature plant.

Dimensions: 55.5cm diameter top, 39cm diameter base and 48.2cm depth. Internal top diameter 50.5cm. Capacity: 75 litres. These round plant potrs are made from strong co-polymer for durability. These pots can be reused again and again for coming seasons, once the young plants have been potted on to larger plant pots or garden planters once their roots have developed. Plant Pots Available In a Range of Sizes Records the default button state of the corresponding category & the status of CCPA. It works only in coordination with the primary cookie. This is the size that many nurseries use for 'specimen' plants. These are plants that were grown in 3 litres last year, have been moved into these larger pots, and then grown on for another year. A wide range of perennials are available in 2-litre pots, particularly when you buy them earlier in the season before they have put on growth.
