I am delighted to announce our 75th anniversary season in which we continue to build on the work of our founder, the inspirational Caryl Jenner, by giving children the opportunity to experience theatre of the highest quality. Alongside our ambition to ensure children have access to our theatre regardless of financial circumstance, I am also hugely proud to have brought local children into the creative process as our Creative Associates to support artists in the early development of many of this season’s productions.

The Unicorn Theatre is a children's theatre in the London Borough of Southwark, in England. It is a custom-built, RIBA Award–winning building on Tooley Street, which opened in 2005. There’s not a dull moment and the push and pull between Josie’s desire to make sense of why and what is happening to her and the Bureacrat’s attempts at distancing and evasion is beautifully played. Both are trapped in their own ways, and both forced to be part of a dualogue dance they didn’t ask for. This reimagining of Kafka’s novel The Trial is a joy to watch, Katie Hims’ script is funny, taut and pacey. Leigh Toney’s direction is a delicious dance of movement and energy, and the set design (Rose Revitt) perfectly complements the simple complexity of the story.Canada Water Studios offers two new air-conditioned dance studios only 80m from the Canada Water Tube/Bus station. Studios have mirrors, sprung floors, barres (fixed and portable available) and large changing rooms. Canada Water Theatre Corsica Studios is available to hire for both private and public events. Included in the hire fee are all PA and sound equipment, door supervisors and staff (but does notincludea box office person). Jerwood Space We want our audiences to feel comfortable when watching our shows and don't mind if they are vocal or energetic - in fact we actively encourage our audience to laugh, respond, clap and cheer! We have plenty of chances throughout the school year for trips to see our shows, which we create to challenge, motivate and inspire children. Looking ahead to next Easter, Unicorn’s Associate Director Rachel Bagshaw directs Le Gateau Chocolat in I Wish, a new show with songs about a mischievous wish-giver, created with composer Seiriol Davies.
