About this deal

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Stephanie Cannon and I thought she did an excellent job. She added to the tension felt in the story. I'm hoping more of Kernan's work is read by this narrator. This is only the third book that I have listened 100% on Audiobook. If I listen to a book on audiobook I usually also read the physical book between but for the second time I listened to the whole book and I was impressed! I must say a HUGE congratulations to the narrator Stephanie Cannon who did a great job bringing this story to life. I would listen to it in the car and while walking at any opportunity and Amalia did a fantastic job on both male and female characters voices!!! I'm not only looking forward to reading more books by Jenna but also to listening to more books narrated by Stephanie!

What would you do if your soon to be husband's ex wife tells you he can't be trusted and not to marry him? Well, you chose love and marry him of course. Great narration, perfect plotting, and a jaw dropping reveal, made for a very enjoyable listen (read). If you enjoy your Pyschological Thrillers to keep you guessing and have delicious twists then you will want to read The Ex Wife! Thanks to Netgalley, the author (Jess Ryder) and the publisher (Bookouture) for a copy of the book. He snorted. “I hope you run. Nothing I like better than flushing birds and shooting them out of the clear blue sky.” What I liked about this book is that I was never really sure what was going on or how things were going to play out. I was addicted for the first 50%, but then things fizzled out a bit. I figured out the first major twist but was surprised by some others. There were certain revelations that were a bit of a letdown. I also was quite intrigued by Sam’s character and wanted to know more about him. Céline adds: "Keeping the ex wife in the picture sounds quite bad. But breaking off a relationship in a conflicty way sounds really bad too. I can understand how a newer wife who’s younger and who’s quite in awe of this other sophisticated woman thinks, ‘Who am I to ban someone from seeing this person they’ve spent x amount of time with?’"

Newly married Natasha has the perfect house, a loving husband and a beautiful little girl called Emily. She’d have it all if it wasn’t for Jen, her husband’s ex-wife who just won’t leave them alone … Elana is the type of protagonist you want to shake and tell her to get a grip. To listen to her gut instinct. All the red flags? 🚩🚩 Run woman!! She didn't have anywhere to go and no money. He's soooo controlling to her and Phoebe. Besides, he's the mayor and his brother is a cop. On a trip to NC for a fishing thing(male pissing contest), she is planning to flee, but a situation presents itself that could be even more appealing.. Natasha’s life seems perfect, I said “seems” because she has everything, a handsome husband who’s rich, a beautiful home and a lovely baby girl. But she can’t enjoy all of them because of her husband’s ex-wife, Jen. She is everywhere, Jen is the wife that her husband’s family like and she is in all their family gathering, always in touch with the husband. It’s like Jen still is his wife, not Natasha. One day when Natasha comes home he couldn’t find her daughter and her husband. She searches everywhere and asks everyone but no one knows anything. And still, there is someone who has to ask, Jen. Can she trust Jen? Does Jen know anything at all? And if she doesn’t so what’s happened to the husband and the baby girl?

Who is in The Ex-Wife cast?

As a relationship coach, Jenna Ponaman, CPC, ELI-MP, tells Bustle that being with someone who's still hung up on their ex is never really a good sign. “Sure, we all have our moments where we may reminisce or think of our past partners from time to time,” she says, “but if you are still at the point where your partner can’t let go of what was then, that is a sign that it’s time to take care of you.” In The Ex-Wife (Channel 5) we are in the parallel terrain of the psychological thriller. Here not-quite-real characters living in not-quite-real homes do not-quite-real things to one another. The first episode of the new series released on Sunday, October 15 and further episodes are set to follow. What did you think of the opening episode of The Ex-Wife? Let us know in the comments.

In this case Jenna Kernan informs readers that domestic abuse is never the victim’s fault and provided information for help in many countries: Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. Overall, a solid domestic thriller. I think the dual timeline was a good choice that gave us some edge of the seat moments. And are we supposed to believe his ex wife went along with the whole plan then changed her mind at the very last moment? There are trigger warnings in here including child abuse, spousal abuse, murder and the cutting off and imprisonment of a spouse and young daughter in the den of the devil. Some of the scenes are graphic and cause a gut wrenching cringe reaction. The story itself flies along. The story is set in two different timescales, it’s a double narrative so we get two sides of the story, one from Natasha and one from Jen.

The Ex Wife is a rollercoaster of a psychological thriller. It was exciting, thrilling and kept me guessing. A marriage built on secrets, lies, and pure craziness leads to the ultimate betrayal in The Ex-Wife. With the FBI needing her to get evidence of his involvement in the missing children and her own daughters safety to consider Elena is going to need her wits about her.

As great as it would be to start a relationship with someone who's a total clean slate, you're likely going to date someone who already has some kind of romantic history. Although the healthiest option is to let the past stay in the past, sometimes people will enter into a new relationships without being completely over an ex. So, how do you know if your partner still isn't over their ex? According to experts, there are some behaviors you may want to pay attention to. Elana’s character just didn’t ring true. She was portrayed as an innocent young mother who was widowed at a young age. All she has in life was her daughter. Yet when she started to realize the danger she was in she stayed and put her daughter in grave danger. Hmmm… With the FBI nowhere to be found (not even mentioned for the most part) Elena takes on her sadistic husband alone. Didn’t really add up for me.🤷🏻‍♀️ The Ex-Wife: Where to watch and who's in the cast?". www.goodto.com. Goodto Know. 20 October 2022 . Retrieved 14 November 2022.I’d describe [twists] as the deliberate misleading of the reader, encouraging them to make false assumptions and draw wrong conclusions about the narrator/s, the plot, the identity of the characters, their motivations and ambition, or how they are connected to each other. As the book progresses, the reader creates a fictional world in their own imagination and then, at a time of their choosing, the writer brings it crashing down.” So this was the sort of thing that I thought would be a good watch with my wife. We often struggle to find something that fits both our tastes but in the trailers it all seemed to be just the thing.... The novel has interesting twists and I like the ending. So, taking into account the story's virtues and faults, I'd say it's an average psychological thriller. A huge thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Jess Ryder for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Kudos to Jess Ryder for writing this gripping psychological thriller that I just couldn't put down! Highly Recommend
