Depending on any accompanying sand toys you choose, your child can also start to explore imaginative play, as well as assisting their sensory development when playing in their sandbox. Designed to meet kid's needs, our sandboxes may include a storage box for the safekeeping of toys and small gaps in the lids to avoid pinched fingers. To give your sandbox extra protections, a cover can be placed over the top when not in use (some models feature a retractable lid). The cover will also protect against the weather and any unwanted creatures making their way into the box. An internal ground sheet can be fitted at the bottom of the sandpit to keep the sand from mixing in with any dirt or grass from the ground. Our sand pits are easy to assemble with clear instructions to help you along to the way. Our premium treated timber keeps our sandpits lasting through rain, hail and shine with minimal upkeep required.

The turtle’s flippers act as seats, providing kids with the perfect perch for playing in the sandbox (while getting as little sand on their clothes as possible!) The turtle’s shell with plastic-moulded detailing doubles as a removable lid that can slip easily into place to cover the sandbox when it’s not in use, protecting the sand you can safely store in your turtle. For kids to play safely in their sandbox, it's important that the box is kept covered until the next playtime, which is why we would always recommend a sandpit with a lid or covering. This is also important to make sure that rain and any other nasties can't get in and affect the sand.
