About this deal

Our Lord! Not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire! This dua should be recited to assert your faith in Islam. A lovely prayer for the success of the entire Muslim Ummah. Dua Prophet Ibrahim AS recited after building the Kaaba with his son Isma’eel A.S. Rabbana wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih; wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen Similarly, ‘ Hasanah’ or ‘good in the Hereafter’ shall cover everything from Paradise, with its countless and endless blessings to the pleasure of ALLAH Almighty and the privilege of seeing Him.

Rabbana wa-j'alna Muslimayni laka wa min Dhurriyatina 'Ummatan Muslimatan laka wa 'Arina Manasikana wa tub 'alayna 'innaka 'antat-Tawwabu-Raheem The verse mentions those who pray by saying: Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Hasanah…which does not include the word ‘Hasanah‘ (good). Our Lord! We believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger. Then write us down among those who bear witness[3:53] Rabbana amanna bima anzalta wattaba ‘nar-Rusula fak-tubna ma’ash-Shahideen Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself our souls in the company of the righteous

Significance of The Recitation of this Dua

Our Lord! Make us not a trial for those who practise oppression; And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee) [10:85-86] Rabbana la taj’alna fitnatal lil-qawmidh-Dhalimeen wa najjina bi-Rahmatika minal qawmil kafireen Our Lord! In Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal [60:4] Dua of Prophet Ibraheem AS asking to make the believers victorious over the disbelievers. To not make us “objects of torment” meaning if the disbelievers won, they would falsely assume what they followed was correct. They would question how ALLAH SWT would allow his believers to lose. The dua then continues referring to ALLAH SWT as ‘Azeezul ‘Hakeem meaning the most powerful and wise.

Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Hasanah full dua is a part of a Surah Al-Baqarah which is mentioned in The Noble Quran, Surah #2, Verse/Ayat #201 (Last Part). The Rabbana atina fid dunya dua is only 12 words short making it easy for Muslims to recite and memorize. We recommend learning it and repeating it throughout the day, whenever you desire or find yourself hoping to achieve something good ask Allah for his help by keeping this dua in mind. Rabbana wa ‘atina ma wa’adtana ‘ala rusulika wa-la tukhzina yawmal-Qiyamah innaka la tukhliful mi’aad Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost.[7:23] Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lana kunan minal-khasireen رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Dua is the simplest mean to establish connection with Allah and imploring to Him to gain blessings. There are about 40 Duas in Quran that start with the Word “Rabbana”. This post by Quran Reading is the compilation of all forty duas from Holy Quran, that start with the Word “Rabbana”, in form of attractive images. Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering- Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence.” This dua is found in Surah Kahf (titled ‘the cave’) and was recited by the young men who fled their city fearing persecution for practicing their religion and found refuge in the cave. They turned to ALLAH SWT asking for guidance in those tough times and their prayers were answered. A dua that reflects the attitude we should have toward our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. Those who “preceded us in faith” would refer to those who embraced Islam before the emigration from Makkah to Yathrib. Those who came after would be everyone who accepted Islam after the migration. This dua is a reminder that we are one Ummah. We should not hate and dislike each other but instead ponder love for each other. Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire - 2:201

Rabbana wa-j’alna Muslimayni laka wa min Dhurriyatina ‘Ummatan Muslimatan laka wa ‘Arina Manasikana wa tub ‘alayna ‘innaka ‘antat-Tawwabu-Raheem Therefore, the synopsis is never lost hope in the Mercy of ALLAH Ta’ala. ALLAH Azzawajal has promised us of great rewards and lots of bounties. It is essential for us that we trust in ALLAH Azzawajal more than we trust anyone else. Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things [66:8]
