From this point on I was fine with it I was like OK this is just a feel good book not everybody needs a big plot in it . A year ish later, she’s working two jobs, lives in a cheap apartment, and is attending college. Out of nowhere, she gets messaged by an unknown number… Ari 🤣. The amount of 💩 he gives Lincoln makes me laugh 🤣. I sure didn’t mind when Lincoln got jp because of it 😅 (especially the Jersey-wearing scene 😉🔥)
At first, I thought this was a cute story about anonymous texting. NO MAAM. Jokes on me, right?! It was so much more than that. 😱*cough*psycho*cough* 😂 omg have I just teleported to red flag central? He will literally do "ANYTHING" to make her his. SPOILERS 🫶🏻Did he just close down a whole restaurant for the evening to cut her date short? Next level obsessed🫶🏻 Part of what bothered me about the smut in this book was the weird and unappealing language the characters themselves used to describe it. They would have conversations about their sexcapades that very often included them throwing around some unnecessarily crude terms in public places.Mit den Gemeinderats- und Bürgermeisterwahlen in Oberösterreich 2003 hatte der Gemeinderat folgende Verteilung: 12 SPÖ, 11 ÖVP und 2 FPÖ. I just hate crying and never cry which is why I probably gravitate to mm romances in general lol. Less emotions usually. And her constant martyrdom got annoying. These dudes worship you just shut up HAHAHHAA. It was so freaking entertaining, hot and somewhat even cute, it’s criminal. I literally had a blast while reading this book!! It had me grinning, giggling, squealing, jaw-dropped and more. There literally wasn’t a moment where I was bored, which I obviously LOVE!! The three male MC Jake, Caleb and Mars are all wonderful and have distinctively different personalities and characteristics. They all three consecutively deserve better, in my opinion.
I want to talk about what I did like first. I thought the polyamorous representation was good. Rachel has her relationships with each of the men, but two of her men have a relationship with one another that develops over time. I liked that Rachel was a doctor that was great at her job and respected for her work. There are a lot of spicy scenes in this book, which I'm always a fan of, and there's variety within the scenes. I love the use of toys and the fact that the men weren't intimidated by them. Monroe (19 once the book takes off but 10 in the prologue and 17 in her first chapter) has had a hard life. Her mom, rest in peace, used to sell herself and was an addict. Unfortunately, young Monroe witnessed a lot of things (including her death), and was eventually put in the foster system. Now that she’s about to turn 18, her foster dad is looking at her and in a 🥴 way, and she needs to leave. She gets away from that life and arrives in Dallas where she meets a sweet homeless man, Bill, who directs her to a woman’s shelter. Tropes: Band of Brothers/Found Family, Curvy Woman, Forbidden, Forced Proximity, Friends to Lovers, Grumpy/Sunshine, 🏳️🌈, MINE!, Neighbors, One Night Stand, Rich AF, Why Choose, Workplace Aloynka Andersson broke up with her boyfriend after being a victim of domestic abuse and refuses to be a doormat again. She has made a list of what she's looking for in a man but also wants to give herself time to heal and isn't looking to get into another relationship for a while.I mean adding his best friend fine, I understood that, but then wanting to add Mars, WHAT? (For clarification I don't have any issues with Mars, I liked his character a lot. My problem is this team doctor acting desperate and like the two men at home aren't enough.) UGH!!! no condoms/no safety talk 😐 he’s been a huge manwhore and they never mention anything 😐/apparently, she got on a bc implant we should’ve known about revealed at 84% Gastric erosions (breakdown of tissue lining the stomach) due to H. pylori, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) or other medications Of course, h eventually discovers his actions through Lincoln’s father. Like a perfectly sane person she’s ready to bounce but our deliciously unhinged H drugs her and chains her to his bed, perfectly content to keep her captive and wait until she’s changed her mind. Maybe my dark-o-meter is broken but this didn’t come across particularly dark despite how it sounds. Or maybe I’m broken?
Who wears that dress to a work function? A work where most are men where she is their physical therapist. The guys were already calling her the “hot doc”. She sure wasn’t commanding any respect but screaming for more attention. This is my chance to prove myself, and I’m not risking it for anything. Especially Caleb (who I loved and was my favourite character 🫶 I love broody dom Cay) who was pretty standoffish and closed off to begin with, and then is just 100% committed to a throuple 5 minutes later? He reads more as being way more reserved and conflicted about it but none of that seems to really happen. They fr sit down and decide to all move in with each other after hooking up once by having a 2 minute conversation… I’m not exaggerating that. I loved when Caleb came out of his shell and got his dom on, but then he turns around and subs like two seconds later for Rachel? It just made his dominance, which is what I find attractive about him, feel so flaky?? There’s a way to still worship and treasure your partners without slipping out of your dom space but Caleb missed it. My name is Rachel Price, and two months ago, I walked away from the perfect man. No. She gets over it like 5 minutes later because they continue to sleep together & then rationalizes his behavior and makes him her “savior”.
