Your breasts need more support postpartum. This is due to the hormones that cause your breasts to grow and produce milk. Many women find that having larger breasts while nursing means they need more supportive bathing suits. Your body changes drastically after having a baby. Some women are insecure about the scars, extra weight, and general appearance of their body postpartum. A bathing suit that provides full coverage will help you feel more confident and relaxed while by the pool or beach. Nevertheless, I think Oceanlily swimsuits are fantastic option especially if you’re on a budget and want a bit more modest (but still attractive) nursing suit. This is probably the best cheap nursing-friendly suit.

This swimsuit gives a really flattering fit with a more revealing – but comfortable – coverage on the bottom, plus optional padded cups and adjustable straps to allow you to tailor your bust support.Buying swimsuits while pregnant can be… challenging. Buying bathing suits that work with your ever-changing body and allow you to easily feed the newest addition to your family? Even more challenging. And with things like bathing suits, which typically expose a lot of skin, it can be even harder to land on an item you love. Picture of Movemama nursing swimwear belongs to Movemama brand. Source: https://www.facebook.com/movemamaapparel/ The market is inundated with swimwear choices, which can make it feel overwhelming to decide on the best breastfeeding-friendly swimsuit for you. Here are a few things that can help steer you in the right direction: This swimsuit is rather only for nursing, not pregnancy. It doesn’t stretch out that much to accommodate growing baby bump. It could be okay for first months when your belly is not big, but I would recommend it mainly as a nursing bathing suit. It seems to smooth out post-pregnancy belly and hide post-baby ‘imperfections’. Be on-trend with one of the hottest styles for 2023: the crinkle swimsuit. Our Maternity Crinkle One Piece Swimsuit is a comfy one-piece with a classic cut that will keep you in style throughout pregnancy and beyond. It’s just as cute postpartum with ultra-stretchy fabric that pulls down when it’s time to nurse. The streamlined silhouette has no ruching, which makes this bathing suit even more versatile – no one will know it’s a nursing swimsuit!

Overall I liked this breastfeeding swimsuit for covering my boobs and bum so well and for NOT accenting my stomach. Both ladies wear Kindred Bravely Nursing & Maternity Wrap Swimsuit in size M Lots of maternity swimwear highlights the imperfections of a postpartum body, instead of hiding them. Finding a swimsuit that is nursing-friendly, comfortable and flattering at the same time is not an easy job, but don’t worry! Though this isn’t an official nursing swimsuit, it functions perfectly as one. The top of this swimsuit features a ruffle flounce that will cover you as you place the baby underneath to feed. You can easily pull up the top to nurse, while the flounce gently lays over your baby’s face. As there is no ruching at the side either, the swimsuit can feel a little tight at first but a snug fit once pulled up. The swimsuit fits well for the first and second trimester but doesn’t stretch or complement your bump as well as other costumes we tested in during the third trimester. It’s not a maternity swimsuit, but it’s perfect for post-pregnancy holidays and chilling at the beach or by the pool. It looks sexy, but it’s modest at the same time. And it’s one of the cheapest swimsuits for nursing mamas! 6. Most traditional swimsuits are not designed for breastfeeding moms, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! We were pleasantly surprised that this fun style of swimsuit was featured in New Look’s maternity swimwear range. We hadn’t seen many one shoulder, ruffle or gingham designs elsewhere that catered to maternity sizes. This bathing suit also has a shelf bra and padding. This is perfect to help control milk leaking from your breasts. However, some moms noted that the top wasn’t as supportive for their larger breasts.

How we tested

First and foremost, it should have easy access for breastfeeding. This means that the top should be able to be pulled down or aside with one hand, so you can nurse your baby without exposing yourself or taking the entire suit off. Some moms found that the size runs small compared to other bathing suits. If you are concerned about the top being too small for your postpartum breasts, you might want to size up.
