MolluDab should be usedwithin four weeks after it is first opened. Molluscum is highly contagious and it is easy to spread the virus from adult to adult by touching the affected skin or a surface with the virus on it. The best way to avoid molluscum spreading is by following good hygiene habits.

MolluDab is an external treatment for Molluscum contagiosum, suitable for adults and children from 2 years of age. The inflammation indicates that your body is fighting the molluscum bumps.Now it is time to be patient and wait forthe bumps to heal. MolluDab mustnot be used on inflamed bumps. Twice daily, use the spatula to apply a small quantity of MolluDabprecisely onto the molluscum bumps, and allow the solution to dry. It is not a good idea to try and remove lesions or the fluid inside of lesions yourself. By removing lesions or lesion fluid by yourself you may unintentionally autoinoculate other parts of the body or risk spreading it to others. By scratching or scraping the skin you could cause a bacterial infection. Oral therapyIn case of overdose or excessive frequent use, painfulinflammation of the skin may occur. Follow the directions carefully. They can be treated medically by cryotherapy (freezing) or with creams that boost local immunity or suppress the virus. Topical treatments are available for use at home, both on prescription and to buy from pharmacies. Please note that parcels weighing over 2kg may be sent via courier due to Royal Mail weight restrictions. Most therapies are effective in immunocompetent patients; however, patients with HIV/AIDS or other immunosuppressing conditions often do not respond to traditional treatments. In addition, these treatments are largely ineffective in achieving long-term control in HIV patients. If you’re pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding or chestfeeding, let your doctor know about your status before taking these medications or any others. For example, podophyllotoxin cream may be safe for people assigned male at birth, but people who are pregnant should avoid it, as its ingredients might be toxic to your fetus.

Among people who have eczema, AIDS or other conditions that affect their immune system, the lesions associated with molluscum contagiosum can grow larger than 5 mm (giant molluscum contagiosum). Where do symptoms of molluscum contagiosum form on my body? On mucous membranes (for example mouth or genital region),open wounds or skin which has been scratched open. The patient does not usually experience systemic symptoms, such as fever, nausea, or malaise 1. Most cases areself-limitingwith resolution of lesions occurring over 6-9 months, although some cases may last for up to four years. Where possible the parents of such children should be encouraged to let the condition run its natural course Keep the molluscum bumps clean and covered to prevent yourself or others from touching them and spreading the virus. Traditionally, GPs have taken the approach to do nothing whentreating Molluscum contagiosum, as the condition often disappears within 12-18 months of its own accord. New MolluDab helps to kill the virus which causes it and gets rid of the bumps after just 1-5 weeks. It does not cause pain or scarring.
